The waterfall behind them roars, mist rising like prayers whispered in the wind. The cliffs stand tall, a steady reminder that creation itself sings. And in the middle of it all, four voices blend into one—rich, full, soaring. It’s the kind of performance that sends shivers down your spine and makes you close your eyes just to soak it in a little longer.

The performance was an invitation to slow down, to breathe, to remember that beauty still exists in this world, that love—real, deep, unshakable love—was always meant to be sung.

Their harmonies, so hauntingly powerful, seem to carry the weight of every unspoken word, every rushed tear, and every moment where the soul aches for connection.

It’s in the silence–the quiet that lingers between their notes that we can hear something beyond their voices. A whisper. A beckoning. A reminder that God is often closest in the moments when everything else fades. 

The band was formed in 2011 in Arlington, Texas, with vocalists Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kirstin Maldonado, Matt Sallee, and Kevin Olusola and they are known for their “pop-style arrangements with vocal harmonies, scat singing, riffing, vocal percussion, and beatboxing” that makes their cover songs a dream, a whisper, and a prayer. 

The group competed in The Sing-Off in 2011 and won the third season, becoming a favorite band everywhere. Some of their well-loved songs include covers like ‘Little Drummer Boy,’ and a powerful version of ‘Mary Did You Know.’ 

As they sing, I can’t help but think of how often we feel the need to fill every moment with words, with noise, with something to avoid the discomfort of silence. But what if it’s in the quiet spaces where we find God’s presence the most? What if it’s in the moments when everything else stops, when we let go of our need to control the noise, that we finally hear Him? Like when the Pentatonix sing, “People hearing without listening, People writing songs that voices never shared, And no one dared, Disturb the sound of silence.”

Sometimes, in the noise of life, God’s voice can seem distant. But in the stillness, in the silence, He speaks to us in ways that are undeniable. It’s like a deep breath before a new beginning. She poured out the song like a love letter sent straight from a place of knowing. The kind of knowing that only comes from loving deep, from loss, from carrying something tender in the marrow of your bones.

And the judges? Oh, they felt it, too.

Eyes welled. Hands covered mouths. The whole room leaned in, held by the weight of one girl’s voice filling the empty spaces. And when the last note fell into the quiet, there was that sacred pause—the kind where the air is thick with something unspoken, where time bends, and heaven brushes earth for just a moment. She turned an ordinary audition into something unforgettable. And oh, how Keely played. How she sang. How she shouted joy in the most heartbreakingly beautiful way.

There are moments when the music is so full of heart that it seems to take you back in time to simpler days, to a place where everything feels warm and familiar. That’s exactly what happened when this teen quartet performed a beautiful a cappella take on ‘Breaking Up Is Hard to Do.’ 

The Lover Girls, a talented teen quartet, took the stage at the 2025 Junior Quartet Contest! Dressed head to toe in vibrant pink, their outfits a perfect nod to the style of the fifties, these girls embodied the era in every note they sang. The pastel pink skirts twirled, their bouncy curls perfectly styled, and as they harmonized, the room was instantly transported to a time when sock hops and jukeboxes ruled the scene.

'Cause breaking up is hard to do’

The girls participated in a contest held by the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS), originally known as the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America (SPEBSQSA), and their YouTube channel is captioned, “Our mission is to enrich lives through singing. Together, making the music that's making a difference.”

With a pitch-perfect blend of sweet harmonies, these teen voices wove together a melody so smooth that you could almost feel the twinkle of a neon sign reflecting off the polished diner floor. They brought something fresh yet timeless to the song, their youthful energy infusing it with a sense of playfulness while still capturing the bittersweet sting of the lyrics. 

You couldn’t help but smile, maybe even feel a little nostalgic for a time you never lived or a love you never knew. And as they sang, it was clear—these girls weren’t just performing. They were inviting you into their world, where every note was a window into something more about singing a cappella. 

Psalm 150:6 "Let everything that has breath praise the Lord."

A duo’s electrifying cover of “Come Together” by The Beatles stuns. The two young musicians delivered a fantastic and awe-inspiring rendition of one of the most beloved, well-known songs of all time. Watch the short clip to see and hear the two gifted musicians perform “Come Together.”

The Beatles are, without a doubt, one of the most popular and influential bands ever. Many current musicians cite The Beatles as having a significant influence on them. Even those who aren’t the biggest fans of Paul, John, George and Ringo’s work can’t argue otherwise. Trying to do so would be a fool’s errand and be totally in vain.

Decades after the band broke up, their music is still widely heard, covered and enjoyed. Most people can recognize a tune from The Beatles within the song’s first few notes. Seconds later, they and everyone are singing along, reciting those iconic and memorable lyrics.

In a clip posted on YouTube, musicians Zoe Clarke and Carlos Zaldivar put on a live public performance of “Come Together.” It’s an outstanding, noteworthy performance in which the two young musicians fully displayed their immense musical talent. Many other people seemed to agree as they had garnered a sizable crowd.

Like nearly every Beatles song, “Come Together” has some of the most recognizable lyrics. Even though the lyrics may be a little odd, most people still seem to know them. That just shows the staying power and influence of arguably the most well-known and beloved band in the history of music.

Zoe and Carlos's “Come Together” duet is fantastic and deserves repeated listens. Even those who aren’t big on the four lads from Liverpool have to agree this is a phenomenal cover.

The first notes of ‘Yellow’ floated through the air, and for a moment, the whole world seemed to hush. Then Britton Moore’s voice broke through—steady, raw, aching with something deeper than just the song. This contestant wows with a stunning rendition of Coldplay on The Voice, and you don’t want to miss a single second of this performance.

And everything you do
Yeah, they were all yellow’

Yellow was released by a British band in 2000 on their album ‘Parachutes,’ and it became the band’s most iconic song known for its dreamy melody and deep lyrics. It climbed the charts around the world, reaching number four on the UK charts while only coming in at 48 in the U.S. Fans of the song flocked to the internet to comment on how well Britton did. 

One fan wrote, “One of those rare, effortless and undeniable voices. Wishing him the best!!” 

Another new fan said he planned to root for him the entire season; he added, “Yeah, this is the person I'm rooting for the whole season. I think he’s going to the finals. There's something special about him. His voice is so R&B influence, I hear it when he do the runs.” 

Another fan commented that she couldn’t wait to support Britton’s journey on ‘The Voice.’ She wrote, “This guy has a very natural singing voice. Not only did he bring me back to my younger years of listening to bands that sang Coldplay, but he’s also from my hometown. I can't wait to support his journey on ‘The Voice.’”

Britton’s performance wasn’t just about skill, though his talent for music is undeniable; it was about connection. About standing in a moment and offering something real. And isn’t that what God does for us? He sees the quiet places, the places we think are too small, too insignificant. And still, He calls them beautiful. He sings over us, just as Britton poured his heart into this song. We can’t wait to see what God has in store for Britton this season. What an incredible performance.
