Christian music with a smooth sound

Today's episode of Leaving the Grandstand World deals with fear. My song today features "Monarch Butterfly," a whimsical look at what happens when a gigantic butterfly invades the area. I wrote this songs several years ago, and wanted to share it on the 4th to remind us what it truly means to be free.

I include a short explanation from my wife, Eva, on the special Holy Spirit inspired way this song was birthed then I conclude with a teaching from my book, A Course in Christianity "Notifications."

Back when I was an atheistic, alcoholic drug user & dealer, I loved the Eric Clapton song Cocaine. Still do like the tune. Just like my converted to God lyrics better.

The original song was recorded at the Atlanta Civic Center in October of 1993 and released in an album in 1994.
The Father's Love Ministry used the recording as the background for their worship dance that was recorded in Korea around 2006.
Watching both videos at once is very interesting as it shows the diversity of the music and theme in the Christian religion.

We are all rivers either flowing downstream filled with the muck and mire of the world or, going against the world's ways and supernaturally flowing upstream casting worldly cares aside, sharing Godly traits of love, peace, and forgiveness. Flowing upstream is hard because we're going against the status quo but, remember, with God all things are possible so it really isn't difficult, is it?

Today I share my joy through a poem, "I Could Be a River," a song, "My Faith Is in You, Lord," and a short selection from my book, The Traveler, which is about a man who encounters a supernatural Christian mentor whom he communicates with through his computer. It is chapter 29, "The Wishing Well."

This is a song Darin Shipley wrote for his wife. It's a love song that points out the depth and beauty of love between a husband and wife.

Wonderfully Made was written for someone going through some of life's struggles. The enemy wants to speak into your life, but you have to learn to shut out all voices but God's and understand that He created us and we are Wonderfully Made.
