Shane Shane Moving ‘All Sufficient Merit’ Acoustic Performance

An incredibly talented Christian music act, Shane & Shane, turned in an excellent and moving performance about the love and mercy of Jesus Christ, singing “All Sufficient Merit.”

The Bible’s most popular verse, John 3:16, tells of God’s immense love for a bunch of people who had willingly turned their back on Him. But despite all that sin, shame and outright disobedience, He still sent His one and only Son to suffer and die, to take our place upon that cross. Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world, went through all of that for you and me.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Shane & Shane sing a tune about Christ’s immense and unexplainable mercy and love and how He paid a debt for us that we will never be able to repay.

“All sufficient merit shining like the sun
A fortune I inherit by no work I have done
My righteousness I forfeit at my Savior’s cross
Where all sufficient merit did what I could not”

The song’s beautifully written lyrics go on to state how, because of what Christ did on the cross, we have the opportunity for forgiveness and everlasting life with Him. Christ’s blood shed upon the cross cleanses sinners and makes us white as snow.

As the Bible states throughout the New Testament, salvation and the forgiveness of sins are gifts available to all. All anyone must do is confess their sins, ask forgiveness and then believe in their heart that God raised His Son, Jesus Christ, from the dead.

As Shane & Shane sing in their lovely song, this offer of forgiveness was obtained by nothing we have or could ever do. Instead, it was because Jesus Christ willingly went to the cross and bled and died for you and me.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Gaither Vocal Band Wonderful Performance Of ‘Have I Told You Lately’

An immensely talented group of vocalists, the Gaither Vocal Band, flexed their musical talents with a delightful performance of a love song previously performed by Rod Stewart and Elvis Presley, “Have I Told You Lately?”

Love is a popular subject for musicians and songwriters. As the saying goes, love makes the world go round. Apparently, it also keeps musicians and songwriters employed and busy. There is an endless collection of love songs from every style and genre.

The Bible also places a lot of emphasis on love. In 1 Corinthians, God’s word states that love is greater than faith and hope. But while it’s necessary and important to show someone how much you love them, it’s also vital to inform them how much they mean to you. Who doesn’t want to hear “I love you” regularly?

In a clip posted on YouTube, the members of the Gaither Vocal Band sing, “Have I Told You Lately?” It’s a pitch-perfect performance as all the guys sit and take turns serenading their wives.

“Have I told you lately that I love you?
Could I tell you once again somehow?
Have I told you with all my heart and soul how I adore you?
Well, darling, I’m telling you now”

It’s a terrific rendition of the popular love song, with each member getting adequate time to show off their vocal skills. In addition to their musical performance, the visuals are sweet, with each member singing to their better half.

Others who commented on the video’s YouTube page also expressed how much they loved and adored the Gaither Vocal Band’s cover of the classic love song.

“I love this so much, absolutely beautiful,” one person wrote.

“Absolutely beautiful! I love everything about this,” a second person added.

“The Gaither Vocal Band makes every song sound lovely,” someone else pointed out

1 Corinthians 13:13 “But now we still have faith, hope, love, these three; and the greatest of these is love.”

Billy Dean's Lovely Cover Of ‘Blessed Assurance’ Hymn

Singer and songwriter Billy Dean appeared on Larry’s Country Diner and turned in a delightful cover of a classic, one of the most beloved hymns.

Life is an experience full of uncertainty. Things can happen in the blink of an eye that will dramatically change our lives forever. No one can adequately and wholly predict what will happen from one second to the next. Anyone who says otherwise is either insane or a liar.

However, no matter what we encounter or come up against, there is the possibility to live life without fear or worry. Jesus Christ offers a peace that surpasses all understanding. Believing in and following Him will provide a blessed assurance that regardless of what happens, we’ll be OK because of Christ.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Billy sings a beloved tune about the peace and confidence available in Christ, “Blessed Assurance.” It’s a fantastic cover that you’ll want to listen to repeatedly.

“This is my story, this is my song
Praising my Savior all the day long
This is my story, this is my song
Praising my Savior all the day long”

“Blessed Assurance” is one of those hymns that, despite being rather old, is still frequently sung and performed in churches throughout the country. It’s also been covered and recorded by many different artists, including Alan Jackson and Carrie Underwood.

There is a reason why that hymn remains so popular. It’s because of the truth contained in the song’s lyrics. There are a lot of questions and unpredictability in life, and people are looking for stability and hope during those trying times. Christ offers all of that and more. He is the Rock among the storm and a firm foundation that we can trust and lean on during trials and tribulations.

Hebrews 10:22 “Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.”

Brandon Lake Rocking ‘Count Em’ Live Performance

Brandon Lake, a Grammy Award-winning Christian music artist, put on an upbeat, catchy and energetic live performance of “Count Em.”

Most people, when they think about Christian music, probably imagine hymns. “Great is Thy Faithfulness", "Victory in Jesus” and the always-popular “Amazing Grace” likely immediately come to mind. And those hymns and others are beloved and still performed in churches and for good reason.

But not all music that shares and spreads the words of Jesus Christ are hymns. Instead, some might sound like a tune right from a rock-centered radio station. A clip of Brandon Lake’s performance while out on tour is an excellent example that some Christian music has a more modern rock sound to it.

“You got power, demons cower when they hear Your name called
You got power that still towers, make Goliath look small
You got power to devour any counterfeit roar
Even Your tongue is a sword, count up the score”

What a powerful song! It is a tune that details God’s overwhelming power – power that can take on and defeat anything and everything that the powers of Hell may throw His way. Nothing will overcome and overwhelm God.

Not every kind of music is for every person. Some people prefer more relaxing, quieter, smoother and more soulful kinds of music. Others enjoy music with more of an edge to it – louder vocals, more pronounced guitars and drums. That’s to be expected. No two people are made the same or think the same, which also includes their preference in music.

Likewise, different people are reached and impacted in different ways. Someone may get inspiration and hear God’s message of love and forgiveness through a beloved and classic hymn. Someone else may be reached through a song like Brandon’s “Count Em.”

1 Chronicles 29:11 “Yours, O Lord, is the strength and the power and the glory, and the authority and the honor: for everything in heaven and on earth is yours; yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are lifted up as head over all.”

Gordon Mote Touching 'Mercy Walked In' Performance

This video of ‘Mercy Walked In’ is found on Gaither Music TV. Gordon Mote with Charlotte Ritchie and Sheri Easter bring us a beautiful performance of this powerful song.

The video shows Gordon on the piano and vocals, with Charlotte and Sheri on vocals. The three harmonize so well together in the video.

“Mercy walked in and pleaded my case
Called to the stand God's saving grace
The blood was presented that covered my sin
Forgiven when mercy walked in”

The lyrics talk of God’s mercy and the covering of our sins. Towards the end of the song, there is the line, “My chains were broken I felt born again” which says so much about the Christian faith. We may sin, but the Lord covers and forgives us with his mercy. It is such a good reminder of who God is and what he has done for us.

Gordon Mote is an American Christian County/Southern Gospel singer, piano player, and worship leader. He was born blind and is a big part of Gaither Music. His album, ‘Don’t Let Me Miss the Glory’ is one of his top albums.

Charlotte Ritchie is a singer who started at 17 when she joined the Nelons, a popular Southern Gospel group.

Sheri Easter is in a Southern Gospel group with her husband Jeff.

All three have so much musical talent as you can see people talking about in the comments. One commenter says, “The 3 of you are the greatest” and another comments, “Praise our Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit! I just got the best blessing listening to this anointed song from 3 singers with amazing voices.”

“Have mercy on me, O God, according to your loving kindness: according to the multitude of your tender mercies blot out my transgressions.” - Psalm 51:1

Dolly Parton's Beautiful Cover Of ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’

The legendary actress and musician Dolly Parton has turned in a terrific rendition of a beloved Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel tune from the 1970s, “Bridge Over Troubled Water.”

Life is an unpredictable experience, often filled with pain, hurt and sorrow. Unfortunately, it can get to the point where even getting through another day feels like a huge win. Situations and circumstances can overwhelm, sending people to dark places mentally. In these times, friends and loved ones are so vitally important.

Friends, spouses and others can be a support system during distressing periods. Having someone by your side to talk to and cry on can be world-changing. An uplifting and encouraging word may be what someone needs to get through a difficult situation.

In a video posted on YouTube, Dolly covers Simon and Garfunkel’s classic “Bridge Over Troubled Water.” It’s a tune about being a friend and a trusted confidante to someone who is going through a trying time.

“Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down”

Like everything else that Dolly does, this cover is fantastic. Even in her late 70s, the multi-talented Hollywood star from Tennessee shows that she still has it. It’s a cover that could be listened to repeatedly.

Others who commented on the video’s YouTube link also expressed their love and adoration for Dolly’s cover of the Simon and Garfunkel song.

“Dolly will always be amongst my top music artists. She is just a beautiful singer. Her voice is beautiful and her songs are beautiful. She is just a remarkable and intelligent and wonderful woman. Women like her as exceedingly rare,” one person added.

“As always ms Dolly is amazing!! Thank you for great music!!” another individual wrote

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

The Oak Ridge Boys Stunning ‘You’re the One’ Performance

Legendary country and gospel vocal group The Oak Ridge Boys turned in an outstanding and delightful performance of one of their tunes during an appearance on Larry’s Country Diner.

Love is a subject that has kept musicians busy and songwriters employed for hundreds of years. Whether it’s about the excitement of a new relationship, unrequited romantic feelings or the ending of a romantic entanglement, songs cover all aspects of love. Some of the tunes even cover how one person changed their life.

In a clip posted on YouTube, the guys from Tennessee sing “You’re the One.” As you can probably guess, it’s a song about how one person came into the songwriter’s life and everything changed.

“You’re the one in a million
You’re the one, you’re the one
You’re the one in a million I see
You’re the one in a million”

The guys belt out the beautifully written lyrics about how their entire lives were changed by one look from a person they refer to repeatedly as “the one in a million.” It was after that moment that nothing was ever the same for them. They were a changed person.

The guys demonstrate that they still have it after all these years, showing off the strength of their voices. It’s a performance that could easily be listened to repeatedly.

The crowd in the clip taking in the masterful vocal performance from the Oak Ridge Boys also agrees with that assessment. They give the guys a well-deserved round of applause after their performance.

Only a few groups have been able to stick around as long as The Oak Ridge Boys. This clip shows why they have managed to do so when other similar groups have fallen by the wayside.

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ be in you in all wealth of wisdom; teaching and helping one another with songs of praise and holy words, making melody to God with grace in your hearts.”

‘Place In This World’ For King + Country And Michael W. Smith Lyric Video

Two of the biggest names in the Christian music scene, For King + Country and Michael W. Smith, brought their immense talents together for a “Place in this World.”

Everyone wants to feel loved and needed and that they belong. Being left out and feeling as if their thoughts, opinions and concerns do not matter is one of the worst feelings in the world. This thinking can lead to loneliness and impact someone’s self-esteem and self-worth. That’s why being with people and in a place where you are loved and cared for is vitally important.

In the official lyric video posted on YouTube, For King + Country and Michael W. Smith sing “Place in This World.” It’s a beautifully written and performed tune about finding one’s reason, mission and calling in life.

“Feels like I’m looking for a reason
Roaming through the night to find my place in this world
My place in this world
Not allowed to lean on”

“A Place in this World” is such a beautiful tune about reaching out to and seeking Him for one’s purpose and mission in life.

Others who commented on the video’s YouTube link also expressed their love and adoration of For King + Country and Michael W. Smith’s collaboration.

“I Love this version of the song! It was truly so moving! God is definitely using For King In Country to further His kingdom! They have such amazing voices too!” one person wrote.

“This song is beautiful and so powerful,” a second individual added.

No one wants to go through life feeling as if their existence did not matter or that they didn’t make a bit of difference to someone. This can be a painful and heartbreaking experience.

But no matter how we think or feel about ourselves, God is always faithful and loving. He offers shelter and comfort in the time of life’s storm. God has a will and purpose for every life.

Everyone on Earth has a reason for being. Nothing God does is by accident.

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, said the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

Official Music Video For Uplifting ‘I Got You’ Danny Gokey

Christian music artist Danny Gokey has released the official music video for his uplifting, powerful and encouraging song “I Got You.”

Life can and will throw all kinds of horrible, painful and agonizing situations in our direction. To make matters even worse, these circumstances often come at the least expected moment, not allowing us time to brace ourselves for the hurt to come. These incidents can leave us overwhelmed, push us to the brink and crying out for help.

But, thankfully, there is one who never leaves our side, even when we may question His presence and actions. Christ is always faithful and loving. He provides comfort, healing and shelter during life’s storms.

Danny Gokey’s beautifully written and performed song “I Got You” is all about these times when we encounter life’s storms. What are we going to do? How are we going to survive? Will we even make it through?

The song's wonderful opening verse mentions the difference Christ can and does make when He comes into our hearts and lives. Even though things may appear rough ahead, with the outcome murky and unclear, Christ remains by our side.

“Where would I be if it wasn’t for You?
Lost in the dark then You walked in the room
I came alive when You opened my eyes
I won’t go back to that life”

The rest of the video is of people dealing with some of the worst life has to offer. One woman is struggling over the loss of a loved one. Another woman receives a devastating medical diagnosis, and one young man has a drug addiction. But through it all, as the video shows, Christ is with them, giving them hope and a promise of a future. Because of Christ and the difference that He has made in their lives, they can withstand the storm.

Praise God for His love and faithfulness!

Isaiah 41:10 “Have no fear, for I am with you; do not be looking about in trouble, for I am your God; I will give you strength, yes, I will be your helper; yes, my true right hand will be your support.”

Steven Curtis Chapman ‘Living Color’ Moving Performance At Grand Ole Opry

One of the biggest names in Christian music, Steven Curtis Chapman, put on an outstanding and moving performance of his tune “Living Color” at the Grand Ole Opry.

Music is one of the many ways the good Lord has blessed our lives. He allows us to enjoy sweet and beautiful sounds produced by talented individuals. In addition to entertainment, music can tell personal, heartfelt stories and praise and worship the Lord.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Steven performs “Living Color.” “Living Color” is a beautifully written song about a friendship between two young boys – one Black and one white. The lyrics detail some of their experiences and adventures growing up, including playing in the marching band at Disney World and selling chocolate door to door.

“And his skin was black, and my skin was white
And the sky was blue, and the future was bright
And our blood ran red in both our veins
And we were lookin’ at the world in living color”

As the song continues, listeners soon learn that the two best friends grew apart. One of the children moved away as they entered high school. Life took them in different directions, and they lost touch.

However, years later, after first falling out of touch, one of the now-grown men grew curious about his childhood buddy. He decided to do a little research to see if he could find out whatever happened to his friend.

Sadly, as Steven sings, the man learns that his friend has passed away. However, the man who passed away was said to have been a family man who worked hard and loved the Lord.

This song, while it feels very personal to Steven, could easily be applied to our lives. How often do people pass in and out of our lives? We are often left wondering whatever happened to this person or that person.

But this is a reminder of how much we can and do impact the lives of others, likely in ways that we never even imagined.

1 Thessalonians 5:11 “So then, go on comforting and building up one another, as you have been doing.”
