Cody Carnes, Kari Jobe ‘Firm Foundation (He Won’t)’ and ‘Great Are You Lord’ Live Performance

Two incredibly talented Christian musicians, Cody Carnes and Kari Jobe, delivered a powerful live performance of “Firm Foundation (He Won’t)” and “Great Are You Lord.” Their renditions of the popular contemporary Christian tunes are nothing short of awe-inspiring. Check out the clip to watch and listen to their moving performance.

The world is a lost and fallen place with many people searching for something, anything in which to place their faith and trust. Individuals will and do look far and wide, coming up empty every single time. Sure, something may provide temporary relief and momentary happiness. But soon enough, that feeling and brief respite will pass, and the search is on again.

Jesus Christ is the answer to those worries, concerns and heartaches. He is the one so many are searching and looking for. As the song mentions, He is the firm foundation, always faithful and loving. He is the only one who can and does provide true, lasting happiness. He offers forgiveness, mercy and love. Christ provides a sense of calm and peace that surpasses all understanding. Not many in the world know but are desperately looking for it.

Cody and Kari perform two well-known tunes about the forgiveness, love and mercy offered by Jesus Christ. This is one performance that you will want to watch repeatedly. The beautiful lyrics will move you as you hear about the loving, forgiving, merciful and faithful nature of Jesus Christ.

“I’ve still got joy in chaos

I’ve got peace that makes no sense

I won’t be going under

I’m not held by my own strength”

When everything and everyone else lets us down and fails, there is one who never will. He is always faithful, never leaving our side. So, when everything may be crumbling around us and the world seems to be falling apart, we can have that assurance that no matter what, Christ is still in control and on the throne.

Hebrews 10:23 “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope that it waver not; for he is faithful that promised:”

CeCe Winans' Official Music Video for 'In A Little While'

Check out the official music video for CeCe Winans’ new song ‘In A Little While.’

‘Jesus said He’s coming back, He’s coming back real soon

And I believe that everything Jesus says is true

He’s says that He’s preparing a place for all His own

That everyone who claims His name will share His home’

What a powerful and joyful song with an important message! The song ‘In A Little While’ is part of CeCe Winans’ second live recorded album titled More Than This. It was recorded in Nashville with worship teams from churches across the city coming together to sing with CeCe. Such a beautiful display of people using their gifts enthusiastically to bring glory to God!

When it comes to the upbeat song ‘In A Little While,’ CeCe Winans shares the story behind it and how the song came to be.

‘It’s a song my son (Alvin Love III) actually wrote, but it’s a remake from the way the church recorded it,” she explains. “The message of the song is the hope all believers are waiting on, Christ’s return. The song itself is a lot of fun, and when I took it to my producer, I knew with the band playing and everybody singing, I could hear it being a party. It’s an encouraging message that gives people hope. Even if things don’t go right here, we’re going to another place. It’s a powerful song.”

CeCe also talks about the overall message of her album More Than This and what she hopes people gain from the songs on it.

“I want people to remember their value,” she shares. This record talks about the authority God has given us. And whatever challenge they’re facing, they can rise up, one day at a time, and walk in the power He’s provided. I hope it will fill the people with God’s love, and also with hope.”

We hope you enjoyed listening to ‘In A Little While’ by CeCe Winans today!

Casting Crowns' Stirring 'All Because Of Mercy' Live Performance

Check out this live performance from Casting Crowns of their song ‘All Because Of Mercy.’

‘I know the only reason I can stand here unashamed

Is not because I’m worthy, it’s all because of mercy

There’s no way that I could earn it , praise God my debt is paid

It’s not because I’m worthy, it’s all because of mercy’

What a beautiful and powerful song! And one that reminds us of how God’s power and mercy in our lives change us for the better.

After Mark Hall, the frontman of Casting Crowns, sings the first chorus of ‘All Because Of Mercy,’ he shouts out to the crowd. “Raise your hand if that’s your story tonight, my friend,” he says. The crowd erupts in agreement, letting him know that they are praising God for the mercy that they have received.

‘All Because Of Mercy’ is Casting Crowns latest single, and Mark Hall shared in an interview a bit about the message of the song.

“The message of ‘All Because of Mercy’ is really simple,” Mark says. “The only reason I belong to the Father, the only reason I can pray, the only reason I can rest and have peace is because of what God has done and the finished work of Jesus. When I’ve been reminded that the reason I belong to God is because of what He did through Jesus, I can come to Him in any condition and any situation. It is all because of Jesus and all because of His mercy.”

This song was written by Mark Hall, along with Matthew West and AJ Pruis. Versions of the song are included in the Casting Crowns Healer record, as well as their most recent milestone recording, Lifesongs: A Celebration of the First 20 Years.

Powerful Rendition of 'How Deep The Father's Love For Us'

Listen to this powerful rendition of the hymn ‘How Deep The Father’s Love For Us.’

‘How deep the Father’s love for us, how vast beyond all measure,

That He should give His only Son to make a wretch His treasure.

How great the pain of searing loss, the Father turns His face away

As wounds which mar the chosen One bring many sons to glory.’

What a beautiful rendition of this lovely hymn. The music starts off with a french horn playing, then a clarinet and piano join in. Next, the voices follow, and they sound just heavenly.

The singers and musicians in this group make up Hymns of Grace, a group that exists to encourage believers in the worship of the one true God. According to their YouTube page, Hymns of Grace’s mission is to provide resources that focus on God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit as revealed in the Word of God. They seek to produce musical material that focuses on God, His Word, and the Gospel story, melding beautiful melodies with eternal truth.

“Beautiful, reverential offering. Bless you all, for keeping Jesus at the center of worship,” comments one person on YouTube after watching the video.

“Simply sung from hearts full of gratitude. Very honoring to the Lord Jesus,” another person writes online.

The hymn ‘How Deep The Father’s Love For Us’ was written in 1995 by Stuart Townend, and it became an instant classic. The song is now sung in churches all over the world, and Stuart has shared about his experience with writing it.

“I really wanted to set out to write a hymn. I was feeling there were lots of songs around, but there wasn’t a lot of content in the songs, and I really wanted to write something that was more hymn-like,” he said. “I was finding in my own worship leading, I was more and more going back to the hymns to introduce content, and I was thinking, ‘Why is it that we don’t have songs that are full of poetic, powerful language these days?’ So I kind of set out to do that.”

We hope that you enjoyed listening to this wonderful rendition of ‘How Deep The Father’s Love For Us.’

Holy God, We Praise Thy Name' Hymn Performance Will Leave You in Awe

Check out this beautiful performance of the hymn ‘Holy God, We Praise Thy Name.’ The beautiful vocals will leave you in awe!

‘Holy God, we praise Thy name; Lord of all, we bow before Thee;

All on earth Thy scepter claim, all in heav’n above adore Thee.

Infinite Thy vast domain; everlasting is Thy reign’

What a stunning performance! The singers in the video sound so lovely together, and the harmonies that can be heard during the song are wonderful.

When it comes to the background of the hymn ‘Holy God, We Praise Thy Name,’ the original lyrics were written in German by Catholic priest Ignaz Franz in 1771. The first printing of the hymn was in 1776 in Vienna, where ‘Holy God, We Praise Thy Name’ became part of the Catholic hymnal.

The song became known in the United States in the 19th century, and in 1858, it was translated into English by Clarence A. Walworth. Due to its memorable melody and theme, it is one of the most popular hymns and prevalent in German-speaking communities.

Trio's Stunning Performance of 'The Old Rugged Cross'

Inside the cozy, dimly lit hall of the Bible Camp, a trio of young adults delivered a stunning performance of the classic hymn ‘The Old Rugged Cross,’ leaving the audience in awed silence. The stage was set against a backdrop of soft, ambient lighting, casting a serene glow over the performers and adding to the intimate atmosphere of the evening.

As the trio, two beautiful ladies and one young man, stepped onto the stage, their presence immediately commanded attention. Each of them brought a unique voice to the performance, their harmonies blending to create a powerful and tender sound. From the moment they began, it was evident that their rendition of this timeless hymn was something truly special.

The trio transformed the hymn, renowned for its deep spiritual resonance and beautiful melody, into a moving experience. Their voices, rich with emotion and sincerity, captured the very essence of the song's message. Every note and lyric was delivered with such grace and intensity that it felt as though the air was filled with the spirit of the hymn.

Initially silent and contemplative, the audience was completely absorbed in the performance. The quiet of the room was palpable, a declaration of the profound impact the trio’s music was having. Faces in the crowd were lit up with expressions of awe, and the stillness of the room was a powerful reflection of how deeply the music was touching everyone present.

As the final notes of ‘The Old Rugged Cross’ lingered in the air, a sense of reverence swept over the hall. The trio's performance had not just been a display of musical talent but a moving tribute to the hymn’s enduring legacy. The audience remained silent for a moment longer, savoring the profound beauty of the experience before erupting into heartfelt applause.

This remarkable performance by the trio poignantly reminded us of the transformative power of music and the deep connections it can forge. Their ability to evoke such strong emotions and create such a memorable experience was nothing short of extraordinary, leaving an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to witness it.

We hope you enjoyed this beautiful rendition of ‘The Old Rugged Cross’ as much as we did! The trio’s heartfelt performance truly captured the spirit of the hymn and touched everyone in the audience.

Praise and Worship Team's Powerful 'How Great Thou Art' Performance

A church’s praise and worship team turned in a powerful and moving performance of the beloved classic hymn “How Great Thou Art.”

Hymns are beautiful pieces of music that accurately and perfectly describe the Lord’s love, faithfulness, mercy and grace. No matter how many times you may have heard a particular hymn, the beautifully written lyrics are bound to cause you to have an emotional reaction every time. You may have listened to a hymn 5,000 times, but it doesn’t matter; your eyes will inevitably well up with tears.

Sadly, many churches have abandoned the old hymns. Their worship leaders and teams have decided to concentrate more on contemporary Christian music. However, those timeless hymns are still as relevant and powerful today as when they were first written. Everyone needs to become acquainted with hymns. No contemporary Christian music tune will ever top “Amazing Grace,” “Great is Thy Faithfulness” or “How Great Thou Art.”

In a clip posted on YouTube, a team of extremely gifted musicians used their God-given talents to bring glory and honor to His name. They give a spirited rendition of “How Great Thou Art.”

“How Great Thou Art” is a song that forces you to stop and think about how the Lord has touched and blessed our lives. We have done nothing to deserve His love, mercy and forgiveness. Yet He continually pours out His love and blessings on us. When considering all of this, how can you not react similarly to and sing out the hymn’s memorable and iconic chorus?

“Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee

How great Thou Art, how great Thou art

Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee

How great Thou art, how great Thou art”

If those words don’t cause you to become emotional, then not much will do the trick. We have so much to be thankful for. God is entirely too good to us, a bunch of unworthy sinners.

Titus 3:5 “Not by works of righteousness which we did ourselves, but in the measure of his mercy, he gave us salvation, through the washing of the new birth and the giving of new life in the Holy Spirit.”

Carrie Underwood Helps Lead Worship at Tennessee Church

The incredibly talented and super popular Carrie Underwood surprised many when she took the stage at a Tennessee Church to help lead the praise and worship portion of the service.

Most churches have a familiar, predictable flow to their Sunday morning services. Typically, there is a small portion at the beginning in which the church leaders take time to recognize and welcome everyone to church. It makes perfect sense. You want to make everyone feel welcome and that their presence is appreciated.

Next, churches will move into their praise and worship portion. Usually, churches will sing a handful of songs. Some may sing a couple, while others could sing as many as five or six. This all happens before the pastor brings the message that the Lord has laid on his heart for that week. There may be some slight differences, but for the most part, that is how many churches organize their Sunday morning service.

However, one church, Rolling Hills Community Church, in Franklin, Tennessee, changed things up quite a bit, and it had nothing to do with the flow of their service. According to CCM Magazine, they had a former American Idol and Grammy Award-winning singer unexpectedly help lead their worship service.

In the clip posted on social media, Carrie appears on stage without any announcement about her presence. Along with the choir and the other musicians on stage, Carrie joins in and sings a handful of praise and worship songs, including “Goodness of God,” “I Thank God” and others.

Carrie’s appearance on stage at the Tennessee church should not surprise many. She has been very outspoken about her faith in the past. In an interview with the Cincinnati Enquirer, Carrie specifically mentioned how much her faith has impacted her.

“My faith has always played an important role in my life and career,” she said. “It means so much to me to be able to infuse spirituality into my music, which I’ve done in every album I’ve recorded and even more so with my holiday album, “My Gift,” and my gospel hymns album, “My Savior,” which celebrates the songs I love to sing in church growing up.”
