State Rep. Justin Pearson Sues City Council Over Meeting Ban

State Rep. Justin Pearson has filed a federal lawsuit against the Memphis City Council alleging that he was unfairly banned from two upcoming meetings. Pearson had been punished for his role in last week’s massive disruption. Pearson claimed he was innocent — but failed to explain why he showed up in the council chambers with a bullhorn.
