A bombshell ProPublica investigation revealed that Russian businessman Umar Kremlev, who has documented ties to Vladimir Putin, paid hundreds of thousands of dollars toward celebrations surrounding Donald Trump Jr.'s wedding to Bettina Anderson.

President Trump was confronted about the controversial wedding gift in the Oval Office and said his son was repaying the money. Don Jr. and Bettina have defended the celebrations as a generous gift from a friend.
