A now-viral investigative video showing empty or barely functioning daycare centers receiving millions in public funds has exposed what many Minnesotans have long suspected — that the state’s social-services funding pipeline has been riddled with fraud, lax oversight, and ideological blinders so thick they border on willful negligence.

This wasn’t a one-off oversight. Reports now suggest tens of millions — and potentially far more — flowed through Minnesota’s childcare and social-services programs without proper verification. That doesn’t happen overnight. It doesn’t happen quietly. And it doesn’t happen without people inside the system ignoring red flags or actively enabling the fraud.

This scandal is bigger than one daycare center and bigger than one viral video. It strikes at the credibility of government itself.

When taxpayers are told their money is funding childcare and education — and it instead disappears into empty buildings and shell operations — faith in the system collapses. And rightly so.

Governor Walz may continue to spin, minimize, and justify his so-called reforms. He may insist this was all somehow unavoidable. He may hope the news cycle moves on.

But the facts remain:

Millions vanished. Oversight failed. Fraud flourished. Accountability lagged.

Minnesotans — and taxpayers nationwide — deserve justice, not talking points.

Walz may not want to fess up.

But prosecutors should force him to.

It’s about refusing to stay intellectually lazy, morally stagnant, or spiritually disengaged.

At its core, the Elevation Principle rests on three pillars: knowledge basis, skill proficiency, and people ability.

These three together form the foundation for meaningful personal growth—and for national renewal.

This is not a call for elites. It is a call for everyone. You. Me. All of us. Starting exactly where we are.

In the coming weeks, I’ll be inviting readers to take this journey more intentionally—to learn, to grow, to elevate together. Because the truth is this: 2026 will be whatever we decide to make it.

The United States government under President Trump has invoked classified national defense assessments to put the brakes on projects that have already cleared years of permitting, environmental review and in-industry investment.

Big development shaking the foundation of America's energy landscape; and one that I think is going to have repercussions from state capitals to Wall Street; from Union Halls to Silicon Valley. The Trump administration today announced an immediate pause on all large-scale offshore wind projects under construction in the US, effective immediately. It's not a little bureaucratic shuffle. This is a sweeping, unprecedented halt that impacts five massive wind farm leases already underway along the East Coast, including Vineyard Wind, Revolution Wind, Coastal Virginia Offshore, Sunrise Wind, and Empire Wind. I think Empire is the one that's closest to New York.

The action comes not in some distant committee, but at a moment when national security and the language of national security is front and center in every discussion about our future. The Department of the Interior, led by Secretary Doug Burgum, explicitly cited national security risks identified in classified reports by the Department of War as the reason for the pause.

According to the Department of Interiors press release, the administration believes large scale wind turbines; their massive, rotating blades and reflective towers; can create radar clutter that obscures legitimate moving targets and generates false returns on US defense radar systems.

We've been using more fossil fuels each year for the last one hundred years than we did the year before; and it didn't matter who was president nor how green their policy was. We still use more, and we have more. We have enough under our continental shelf to supply our needs for the next two thousand years and never run out.

Renewable energy groups and clean power advocates are crying foul, calling the National Security Rationale weak and inconsistent and pretextual. Of course they do! Because those guys are interested in controlling your life, not in actually making energy more accessible or doable.

Opposition isn't limited to environmental advocates. Local unions and port workers who are benefiting from the construction activity are also facing uncertainty about their livelihoods. Guys, you'll learn other skills. There are other things to build. If you're a quality craftsman, pausing these five windmills is not gonna make a big difference.

The chief...The Commander in Chief, his primary responsibility is to keep you and me safe. So, this is what they've done, and I'm glad that they've done it.

Which helps explain why President Trump's approval numbers—despite wall-to-wall negativity—are outperforming not just Biden’s, but Obama’s and Bush’s at the same point in their presidencies.

This is where the media narrative collapses.

We’re told relentlessly that Trump is “divisive,” “chaotic,” “dangerous.” And yet, when measured against the same standard applied to his predecessors, the public registers something different. Voters see outcomes. They see economic improvement. They see deterrence restored.

They see a president who speaks plainly and acts decisively.

Meanwhile, the same media that treated Obama’s 40% approval in late 2013 as a temporary hiccup now treats Trump’s higher numbers as an existential crisis. The same outlets that downplayed Biden’s collapse into the high- 30s now hyperventilate over Trump breaking into the mid-40s.

Here’s the reality they can’t escape: Trump’s record is performing better than any of the past six administrations at this same stage. Better economically. Better in energy. Better on deterrence. Better on border enforcement. Better on regulatory reform. And now, better in public approval than Obama himself.

That doesn’t mean the job is finished. It means the direction is right.

This is what radicalization looks like when it has fully taken hold. Moral inversion. A worldview in which outward piety is the measure of goodness, while the murder of Jews is not merely excusable, but righteous. That doesn’t happen accidentally.

People are not born believing Jews deserve to die. They are taught. They are trained. They are saturated in a theology that frames Jews as eternal enemies—corrupt, treacherous, cursed—and that casts violence against them as obedience to God. Over time, the horror fades. The killing becomes normalized. Even sanctified.

This is not theoretical. It is observable. From the charters of Hamas and Hezbollah to sermons broadcast across satellite television, to Iranian-funded “cultural centers” across the West, the message is consistent: Jews are the problem. Jews are the obstacle. Jews must be removed.

Iran didn’t invent this hatred, but it has industrialized it.

The Islamic Republic has spent decades exporting antisemitic doctrine with money, weapons, and ideology. It backs terror groups not merely as geopolitical tools, but as religious instruments. The goal is not borders. The goal is purification—beginning with Jews, and eventually extending to the West that protects them.

Bondi Beach fits this pattern perfectly. A father and son radicalized together. A family steeped in belief. A mother who cannot recognize evil because the theology has redefined it. And a media class that seems terrified to state the obvious.

Why the hesitation?

Because naming Islam—plainly and without modifiers—forces a reckoning many would rather avoid. It means admitting that this problem is not limited to “extremists” who misread the faith, but to interpretations of Islam that are widely taught, funded, and defended. It means confronting the uncomfortable reality that religious ideas, not just socioeconomic grievances, drive this violence.

So instead, stories are softened. Language is diluted. The ideology is blurred. And the public is left with the impression that these events are tragic but inscrutable — acts of madness rather than acts of belief.

But Jews are dying because of belief.

Let me say something else that will offend precisely the readers it needs to: If Donald Trump is the reason you want to renounce America, then Donald Trump didn’t break you—your worldview did. America was never meant to be our Messiah. It was never meant to guarantee emotional tranquility. It was meant to guarantee freedom. And freedom requires durability. Faithfulness. Courage. Even a willingness to be uncomfortable for long stretches of time.

And so I offer a gentle reminder to the wanderers: The only place on earth where you are guaranteed the right to speak, to worship, to build, to disagree, to raise your children as you see fit—the only place where you are free to love this country or criticize it loudly—is the very country you’re trying to escape.

You don’t flee from a nation like that. You steward it. You argue for it. You fight for it. And you thank God you were born in it. Even in election years. Especially in election years.

ABOUT JUST ANOTHER DAY

“Just Another Day” unfolds on a park bench where the Man (Lauria), who had a career as a comic, and the Woman (McCormack), who was a celebrated poet, sit and chat as they try to remember their connection to each other. In Act I, the banter is barbed as the Man tries to jog the Woman’s memories of their time together. The pressure to remember puts her on the defensive and she strikes back with her overstuffed “lexical treasury” of devastating insults that require a dictionary to feel their full weight. Rather than find common ground the duo seems to be moving farther apart, until he begins talking about old movies, unleashing shared memories of “His Girl Friday,” “My Man Godfrey,” and “Gunga Din,” and she offers a hilarious imitation of Bette Davis.

In Act II the roles are reversed, and the Woman must coax the now-morose Man to return to one of his famous routines, which Lauria delivers with practiced ease, along with some eye-rolling jokes. When they worry about how to live today when they can’t recall yesterday, the poet reminds the comic she once served as his sounding board, and they should simply start fresh. They work together, creating new building blocks to develop jokes for him and new story lines for her.

Their interactions are occasionally discouraged — no touching — by a bell, a reminder that they are not independent any longer but part of a carefully monitored community that is mindful of their safety. Although they resent the bell’s interruptions, it serves as an anchor to their present circumstances.

Anyone who has conversed with a loved one struggling with memory loss will recognize the fear and frustration of trying to assemble the pieces of one’s life into some coherent order. But they will also notice the comfort that sometimes comes with the retelling of old stories. In the program notes, Lauria says the play was inspired by his visits to an old friend who is in memory care and has difficulty remembering friends and family. But his friend’s memories of the New York Yankees are sharp and detailed and telling those stories often helps him reconnect to the present.

I'm struck by how every conversation we had today pointed to the same tension that defines this moment that we're living in. The world is trembling, but the truth of God is still unshaken.

We opened the show with something hard; the comment from Congressman Thompson calling the deliberate execution of our finest in uniform an "unfortunate accident". I still can't get over that phrase; not because it's just tone deaf, but because it diminishes the sacredness of the sacrifice of our warriors. The Apostle John never used soft language for evil. He didn't call darkness unfortunate; he said light has come into the world, but men love darkness instead of light. 

What Dr. Ray Pritchard reminded us of today is so deeply important. Advent is not sentimental. It's confrontational. Advent is the invasion of light into very real darkness. And if there was ever a December when America needed that reminder, it's this one.

We talked to Patrice Onwuka about genuinely encouraging economic news, jobs up, inflation cooling, more families catching their breath. Hope isn't a rumor, it's measurable. I thought about the people listening today who have been holding on for dear life for the past couple of years. Sometimes God sends hope not in thunderclaps, but in data points. Maybe the Lord's provision shows up in a spreadsheet, before it's in your spirit; but it's still provision, nonetheless. 

Lee Strobel reminded us about miracles. Not hypotheticals, not abstractions, real interventions of a God who is not retired, not distant, not uninterested. It felt like a reminder that even when leaders disappoint us; even when Congress minimizes evil; even when the world feels cold or cynical; heaven is not asleep. The same Jesus who arrived in Bethlehem arrives still...in moments, in mercies, in miracles.

We heard from Shelley Goldberg. Because if there's ever a time when families feel strained, stressed, anxious & stretched thin...it's this season. We all want peace, but sometimes the hardest place to find it is around our own tables. Her wisdom was simple, but profound. Adults need intentionality at Christmas the same way children do. Peace doesn't materialize out of thin air. It's cultivated, it's chosen, it's practiced,

I want you to do something for me. Carry this with you. The world may misname evil, but God doesn't. Leaders may disappoint, but Christ can't. Economies shift but God provides. Families struggle, but grace heals us. And the light that came into the world then; still shines, still pierces and still prevails. That's why, even like the days we live in now, we must not, cannot, do not lose hope; because hope is what it is about.

They deserve guardrails, guidance & love; but kids belong to parents and not the politicians. The greatest gift a child can receive is not an app restriction or a legislative mandate. On How Do We Live with Dr. Ray Pritchard; we were in the Gospel of John again, and it is the word taking on flesh. It is the light refusing to let darkness win. That's not myth, that's metaphor. If Jesus came into the world once; as Dr. Ray Pritchard reminded us, then he can and does still enter our world today,

Todd Chapman reminded us that as we are thinking about the most inconvenient truths of our era, slavery did not end with Lincoln or the passing of a constitutional amendment. It's still alive in our lifetime. This Christmas we're trying to set people free, not metaphorically literally. A child, a mother captive in Sudan tonight could wake up tomorrow free because people like you got involved.

We spoke with former CDC director, Dr. Robert Redfield. A man who has carried enormous responsibility on his shoulders. He reminded us to remember that public health isn't an abstraction. It's how we care for one another. It's how we protect families and communities and the vulnerable. We can debate policies and medicine, and we will; but behind every statistic is a life made in God's image and given to parents who are made in God's image.

John Wey joined us with some smart, practical tips for holiday travel.

For those with selective memory: a double-tap is when you hit the target — and then you hit it again. You strike, then you strike the survivors, or anyone rushing in to help them. It was perfected during the Obama-era CIA and Pentagon drone campaigns. The tactic didn’t originate with Trump — he simply picked up the same tool that had already been normalized by the “smart power” crowd. 

Please. The only thing unprecedented about what’s happening in the Caribbean is the honesty. The only thing Donald Trump has changed is the target set. And the only shocking development is that the same voices who applauded every drone strike under a Democrat president now suddenly pretend to own a conscience. Let’s call this what it is: Obama’s Double-Tap, resurrected, repackaged, and redeployed.
