Will Hild is the Executive Director of Consumers’ Research (Consumers' Research (consumersresearch.org), America's oldest consumer advocacy group. Hild told Meeting of Minds that "stakeholder capitalism" models of money management hurt the customer by diluting financial return goals in favor of social ones. He also explained the failure of Silicon Valley Bank as an example in which the customers' and shareholders' interests were demoted beneath the political agenda of managers. Hild also discusses a recently released resource (Home - Our Money Our Values) which helps ordinary citizens who want to understand what ESG is and how it harms them.
