In this episode, Alfredo & Elaine welcome Dr. Tom Price to the show. Dr. Price is an orthopedic surgeon, who most recently served as the 23rd Secretary of Health and Human Services. He brought to the Department a lifetime of service and a dedication to advancing the quality of health care in America – both as a physician and policymaker. During his 20+ years as a practicing physician, he also served as Medical Director of the Orthopaedic Clinic at Grady Memorial Hospital as well as an Assistant Professor at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Price also served as the U.S. Representative for Georgia’s 6th Congressional District from northern suburban Atlanta. He held this office from 2005-2017 and earned a reputation amongst his colleagues for being a tireless problem solver and the go-to expert on health care matters.
