More About Michael Behe:
He’s an American biochemist and a prominent advocate of the intelligent design movement. Born on January 18, 1952, Behe earned his Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Pennsylvania in 1978. He is best known for his work on the concept of "irreducible complexity," which he introduced in his influential book Darwin's Black Box (1996). In this work, Behe argues that certain biological structures are too complex to have evolved through natural selection, suggesting instead that they are the product of intelligent design.
Behe has been a professor at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania, where he teaches biochemistry. His views on intelligent design have sparked considerable debate within the scientific community, as they challenge the conventional understanding of evolution. Behe’s work has been a central figure in discussions around the relationship between science and religion, particularly in the context of education and public policy.
