Book of Psalms Back to Songs: Psalm 25 - Remember Me in Mercy

Psalm 25 carries a tender, searching humility, as a soul lays down pride and asks to be guided, forgiven, and remembered with mercy. Its emotion is patient and hopeful, trusting that God’s steadfast love will lead the weary heart into truth and steady ground. The "Book of Psalms: Back to Songs" project is a creative endeavor to restore the original spirit of the #psalms - as songs of worship, lament, praise, and reflection-by transforming them back into musical form, as many were written. Drawing from modern translations of the classic biblical texts, this project reimagines the Psalms with fresh musical arrangements that blend timeless messages with modern sounds. Each Psalm is thoughtfully adapted into lyrical and melodic compositions, many using modern tools, to explore harmonies, instrumentation, and genre-blending arrangements. From soulful acoustic ballads and rock/pop hymns to country pieces and R&B-inspired tunes, the project seeks to make the Psalms accessible and resonate with today’s listeners, while staying true to their emotional and spiritual depth. GOD'S LOVE LIFTED THE STORM

Sometimes we see dark waters in life, but God is always there to see us through and lift the storm. Lyrics by Clare Steffen, Vocals, Music & Production by Raul Barba as a part of the Round The Globe project.

2. Power of True Love LOVE

“Power of True Love” — The TEA Collective “Power of True Love” is a heartfelt reminder that real love isn’t built on emotion alone — it’s built on commitment, grace, forgiveness, and faith in God. Written from the middle of real-life struggles and real-life redemption, this song reflects the journey of choosing love even when it’s difficult… choosing faith when doubts are loud… and choosing each other because Christ first chose us. Rooted in the truth of 1 Corinthians 13, “Power of True Love” points to the kind of love that endures storms, heals wounds, and grows stronger through surrender to Jesus. This song is for anyone who has walked through brokenness, questioned their strength, and discovered that God’s love makes restoration possible. From The Drawing Board — a project about faith, forgiveness, and new beginnings. If this song speaks to you, share it, pray with it, and let it remind you: True love isn’t fragile. It’s powerful. Because it’s rooted in Him. The Power Of True Love w/m kevin mccullough Verse Storm filled horizons, innocence long gone, Daughter turns to mother, what did I do wrong, Frustration overtakes her Chorus Love is not the enemy Love is full of dignity And with hurts, the pain, love will prove it again Amazing the power of true love Verse So many storms in his past, yet his future does not die, The trauma of a lifetime, burned in his little eyes, True love overtakes him Chorus Interlude Chorus Chorus

On Heaven's Wings - By Mark R. Spencer

Through the power of God, anything is possible. You only need faith to rise above this earthly chaos, and touch grace.

Junk - By Mark R. Spencer

I wrote this song for the young women (and men) that I've known throughout my life, who felt like they didn't matter, that they had no purpose. Not all of them survived their depression. Some have left this world, but some are still with us, having had their own "come to Jesus" moments, as I did. Having been on the edge myself, wondering if the cliff was high enough to end my suffering, or low enough to cause more, I know how it feels to see yourself as invisible and purposeless. God took that away from me, and gave me a reason to believe in Him, and in myself.

Unicorns - By Mark R. Spencer

I was going through some of my old poems, and I stumbled upon a short poem called "The Unicorn". It inspired me to broaden the story it told. I drew from my own childhood, the childhoods of my nieces and nephew, and the childhoods of an old flame’s daughters. This is the result. I hope you like it.

Moving Student Cover of ‘Sinner Saved By Grace’

This moving student cover of “Sinner Saved By Grace” will make you feel uplifted and inspired. It’s simply stunning. Play the video to give it a listen.

Christian private school Fountainview Academy has assembled a wonderful choir of young artists. These high school students are so talented. There are four male soloists and a whole orchestra—they all perform in the beautiful Canadian wilderness.

It’s admirable that young people would put so much hard work into a performance of this magnitude. They play with sincerity and heart, and it’s beautiful to see. The song they sing, “Sinner Saved by Grace,” is a great choice, too.

Some of the lyrics from “Sinner Saved by Grace,” written by the Gaither Vocal Band, are:

Now I live and breathe in freedom
With each breath of life I take
Loved and forgiven, backed with a living
I'm just a sinner saved by grace

The Gaither family wrote the song about the testimony of their friend, George Younce. He had grown up in the faith but had strayed in adulthood when he worked as a bartender for an HCO and Officers’ Club. He spent three years dabbling in drugs and alcohol before God brought him to his knees.

George recalled, “I was restless and searching when one night the Lord spoke to my heart, and I realized there was no hope for me without Jesus. I got down on my knees and rededicated my life to Him, and I’ve never looked back.”

Now George looks at himself as just an old sinner whom God has blessed “beyond belief.”

“Sinner Saved by Grace” is certainly a wonderful song with an inspiring story to match.

“It is a true saying, in which all may put their faith, that Christ Jesus came into the world to give salvation to sinners, of whom I am the chief.” 1 Timothy 1:15

Beautiful Multilingual Performance of ‘Goodness of God’ Will Move You

Get ready to be blessed by the nations glorifying Jesus. Watching this beautiful multilingual performance of ‘Goodness of God’ will move you.

At the beginning of this song, there is such a genuine and precious prayer from the first worship leader. The instruments play beautifully in the background. There are people dressed in white all on the stage. The song, “Goodness of God,” begins with the male vocalist singing in Hebrew. It is stunning.

The second verse is sung in English by the female singer. Suddenly, a man sings in Arabic. The female vocalist has gorgeous background vocals.

The crowd is pouring out their hearts in praise. Three languages come together to celebrate God's faithfulness. This is a taste of heaven with many cultures and various instruments.

God tells us in His Word that every tribe and tongue will be around His throne worshiping Him in heaven. It is not too often that we see and hear these various languages coming together in one song. It causes us to think about what sin separates, Jesus unites.

The chorus sings out:

All my life You have been faithful
All my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
I will sing of the goodness of God

Whether we live on one end of the globe or another, God has been faithful to who He is always. It is beautiful to see One For Israel come and lead in such a powerful time of gratitude for the Lord. They sing together in each other’s languages. No matter what your native language is, you will appreciate this video, stunning vocals, and instrumentation.

One For Israel was established in the 1990s. It started as a Bible College, but has expanded in hopes of blessing people across Israel and meeting them in their own language. We get to witness this powerful ministry in the video.

“After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands.” Revelation 7:9

‘A heart in the dark, You found me fading
Waiting for love to turn the light on
You were the spark that turned existing to living
And gave my soul a Lazarus song’

This infectious song may have you up and dancing while singing praises to our Heavenly Father. Tasha Layton shared her thoughts about the song and what the lyrics really convey.

“This song sounds like a life fully surrendered and completely transformed,” Tasha explained. “I often think of the times I’ve met someone and thought, ‘This person MUST know Jesus.’ Sometimes, the spirit of God shines through a person. This song captures that sentiment with the lyrics: ‘Everyone can see You are the life in me.’ It reminds me of the old saying, ‘Preach the gospel at all times; use words if necessary.’ When I’m overwhelmed by what Jesus has done for me, I can’t help but express my gratitude!”

The song ‘Life In Me’ is the title track of Tasha Layton’s new album. This wonderful album shares the relatable journey of walking with God through life’s inevitable ups and downs. And the music reminds listeners that even in the midst of disappointment or heartbreak, joy can be found right around the corner.

“Each track really represents a season from my walk with Jesus. The album is a beautiful picture of His life in me,” shared Tasha. “These songs tell the story of God’s faithfulness through every season, and I can’t wait for you to experience them.”

We hope you enjoyed listening to ‘Life In Me’ by Tasha Layton today!

As the music begins and thousands of college-aged students stand in an auditorium, Chidma, the musical artist, begins to sing alongside the Passion Band. Her voice is stunning. It will move you to see all of these young people singing of how worthy Jesus is with their hands lifted high. At one point, you see a young man on his knees, worshiping God unashamedly. You hear such a stunning message of the gospel through this song.

The Chorus Sings:

What a worthy name
Jesus, Son of God
High and lifted up
You deserve the praise

Be Encouraged By This What a Worthy Name Live Performance

You will experience joy as you see the adoration in this video from those on and off the stage. It will lift your spirits and encourage your heart today to see a generation crying out to the Living God. The energy and the passion from these worship leaders will move you.

The way that they unashamedly bow before the Lord and sing out from their hearts to invite these young people to give their all for Jesus is extremely motivating. It reminds us that God calls young people to be an example for all believers. These young people are certainly that for all who view this clip.

It is precious to see the phrases on the glimpses of students’ shirts, such as “Trust in the Lord” or “Made Alive.” This song will wow you; it has solid Biblical lyrics, a stunning melody, and is so inviting for everyone to adore the King of kings and Lord of lords. May these young people’s zeal for Christ inspire you to live in a way that points to Christ today.

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12

Pat Barrett's 'Break Open' Chilling Live Performance

Some people have a gift in providing such authentic worship while leading others. Watch Pat Barrett's 'Break Open' chilling live performance.

At the start of this song, we see Pat in a cabin writing lyrics on the floor. He then begins singing on stage with his guitar. He starts with lyrics about the incomprehensible love of God. His simple words also remind us that Jesus’ love is here and simple enough for all, yet it is beyond what any of us can fully comprehend.

The chorus says:

So break open this box around my head, around my heart
You're better than I think
You're better than I think
He is Singing of Jesus’ Sacrifice to the World

Pat sings of Jesus’ sacrifice in verse 2. That leads into a bigger chorus. We see clips of him and his bandmates writing the song together and having a great time in the cabin.

Then, you see the band back on stage, playing together as the audience is worshiping with them. Pat sings about who Jesus is in the midst of our trials during the bridge. As everyone continues to declare who He is, the instrumentation builds and excites the room.

After the chorus starts again, Pat steps away, and you get to hear the sweet voices of the crowd. As we reflect on the boxes around our own heads or hearts, it invites us to ask, “How am I boxing in Who God is and what He can accomplish?” He is truly more than we could ever imagine. May this song lead us into asking the Holy Spirit to reveal how deep His love is for us today and always.

“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen." Ephesians 3:20-21
