“I wrote this song during a season of deep grief and doubt, and as I was falling apart, I found myself falling into the everlasting arms of Love,” shared Ellie Holcomb. “My prayer is that this song would meet you right where you are, even if that’s in the midst of your darkest night, and that it would lift your eyes toward the light.”

‘Stand in Your Love’ was written by Josh Baldwin, who joined the Bethel Music Collective in 2014. He began his journey in North Carolina, where he was a worship pastor for 10 years before joining the collective. His song truly captures the heart’s battle and triumph over fear.

“I’m not the only one that has fears. There’s people sitting next to you that are going through things. We’re all coming in together and we all are reminding each other. That as we sing, as we stand firm in the love of Jesus, that the fear, it has no power. It has no authority over us because of what he did,” shares Josh Baldwin.

He breaks chains and defeats the enemy. It is also an outreach song. It has a special way of sharing Jesus with others. It’s saying, “Look at his goodness; look what Jesus can do.”

One man turned in a beautiful piano instrumental performance of "Because He Lives." His moving rendition of the hymn that is near and dear to the hearts of many will likely bring a tear or two to your eye. Hymns are powerful and severely underutilized pieces of music. Yes, they aren't songs typically heard on the radio. But sadly, that is also what happens in many churches, the one place where you would most expect to hear them. Far too many houses of worship have entirely abandoned hymns.

Many churches' praise and worship portion of their Sunday morning services consists primarily of contemporary Christian music instead of hymns. That is incredibly unfortunate because, as great as some contemporary Christian songs are, they will never top or even come close to matching those beloved, classic hymns.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a pianist plays "Because He Lives," which is absolutely beautiful and will likely send chills down your back. While none of those familiar lyrics are sung in the clip, that does not take away from the stunning instrumental performance in the slightest. Likely, as he plays, you can hear the lyrics running through your mind.

Just because He lives"

If those words don't move you or cause you to react emotionally, I'm not sure anything will. Those words remind us that whatever we are going through or facing, Christ is still in control and on the throne. We don't have to fear or worry about what tomorrow may bring and can experience that peace that surpasses all understanding because He lives.
