Chris Tomlin ‘Still The King’ Lyric Video

Prepare for another wonderful and worshipful song crafted by a well-respected Christian artist. Be reminded that God is still who He has always been. Watch Chris Tomlin's “Still the King” lyric video.

As the song begins, you read the lyrics along with the melody, pondering the cross of Jesus that leads to praising Him. As you listen and follow along, you will reflect on your own journey and God’s faithfulness in your everyday life.

Maybe you are feeling hopeless today and struggling to believe who the Lord is in your life. However, this is a great reminder that Jesus is still the same as He has always been. He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords.

The bridge sings out about the gratitude that we have when we think about the tomb. Sometimes our eyes wander from where they should be focused. We veer from the One who loves us most.

This song invites us to sing along to the chorus:

How could my heart not sing of all You've done for me?
For the blood is still the blood
And the King is still the King

May we all be still and reflect on the saving work of Jesus. As we hear a familiar voice, may we join in with his song to edify the King over all. Where we feel insecure, we can be reminded to have wholeness in Jesus.

When we want to hold back our worship to God out of fear, apathy, or doubt, may this song catapult us into giving Christ our total praise in surrender. He is more glorious than we can ever imagine. He tells us in His Word that He is unchanging. Let’s sing about this alongside Chris Tomlin today.

“For I, the Lord, do not change; therefore you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed.” Malachi 3:6

Woman Wows With for KING + COUNTRY Hit, Earns 4-Chair Turn

A young woman wowed with her cover of a for KING & COUNTRY hit and earned herself the rare four-chair turn. Some of the biggest names in music were blown away by her audition, quickly flipping their chairs around for her. Watch the short but jaw-dropping clip to hear her dazzle with her stunning performance of for KING & COUNTRY’s “God Only Knows” on The Voice.

Like American Idol and America’s Got Talent, The Voice is an immensely popular talent-based competition program. However, unlike those others, the judges on The Voice are literally facing away from those auditioning. The only thing that will cause any of the show’s four judges will be the aspiring musician’s talent.

Judges literally have no idea what the contestants look like and have not heard their backstory or reason for trying out for The Voice. That information comes out after their audition, following the judges’ decision. Those hopefuls must first cause at least one of the four judges to sit up and take notice of their incredible talent. In a clip posted on YouTube, one young woman did much more than that, causing all four judges to turn their chairs around for her almost immediately.

Kirbi, a 24-year-old woman from Alabama, beautifully performed for KING & COUNTRY’s “God Only Knows.” As the first notes left her mouth, Niall Horan and Michael Bublé seemed intrigued and impressed with what they were hearing, both hitting their buttons simultaneously. Reba McEntire and Snoop Dogg weren’t far behind, flipping their chairs around for the young woman, hoping to add her to their team.

Following her dazzling audition, Kirbi mentioned some of her motivations and reasons for selecting “God Only Knows” as her audition song.

“But my faith is a big part of who I am, too,” she said. “So, I was so excited to come on here and share that with you guys.”

Michael, during his assessment of her performance, mentioned faith as well.

“Hi, Kirbi,” Michael said. “I’m Michael. My faith is really important to me, too. I love that you chose that song. I love your control. I love your tone. I feel like if I turned on the radio and I heard you, I would know it was Kirbi.”

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

Directed by Andrew Jorgenson of Old Dominion Film Works in partnership with the George Mason University Film Department, the video was filmed over two days. Scenes inside First Christian Church of Alexandria capture the reverent heart of the song, while sweeping views from Shenandoah National Forest echo its theme of finding God’s presence in creation. At the center is vocalist Laura Cashman, whose emotive performance brings depth to the worship anthem. Founder James Billington explains, “God is not just found in church for an hour every Sunday. He is everywhere, all the time. The song is a prayer and a declaration. We wanted the video to reflect that, beginning in the church where faith is nurtured and then stepping into creation, where God’s fingerprints are everywhere.” The El Shaddai video marks the first step in Collective Worth’s vision to create worship music and visuals that inspire believers to see God in every moment, with more songs and performances planned for the future.
