Stunning ‘Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)’ Duet Performance

Two musically gifted young women showed off their outstanding, angelic voices when they turned in an impassioned and awe-inspiring performance of the most beloved hymn of all time.

Many people enjoy contemporary Christian music and artists. Even a lot of churches will sing and play almost exclusively popular contemporary Christian tunes, which is perfectly acceptable. Not all churches are the same, much like no two people are exactly alike. Everyone has their own tastes, opinions and thoughts.

Despite the popularity of contemporary Christian music, others still prefer the good old hymns, like “How Great Thou Art,” “Great is Thy Faithfulness” and “Blessed Assurance.” But as great as those songs are, one hymn tops them all: “Amazing Grace.” It’s beloved and known all over the world.

In a clip posted on YouTube, singer and YouTuber Liv Swearingen and another woman sing an updated version of “Amazing Grace.” It’s the version of the song in which Chris Tomlin added a new verse to the beloved classic, according to Baptist Press.

“I’ve been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy rains
Unending love, amazing grace”

These two women can flat-out sing. Their angelic voices belt out the lyrics about Christ’s life-changing and saving grace and mercy. This is a clip that deserves to be listened to repeatedly. The amount of talent captured in the video is almost too much to comprehend.

As the young ladies sing, Christ’s love and grace are astonishing. There is no reason that God would have or should have ever sent His Son to Earth as a sacrifice for us. Christ was perfect, but He willingly went to the cross and endured a painful, horrible death for you and me. There is no other way to explain that selfless act other than because of His unending love, mercy and grace for us.

Ephesians 2:8 “Because by grace you have salvation through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is given by God.”

‘How Great Thou Art’ Hymn Cover Matt Redman, Chris Tomlin, Hillary Scott And TAYA

A handful of some of the biggest names in Christian music joined forces and turned in a delightful and moving performance of a beloved hymn, “How Great Thou Art.”

Hymns are beautifully written pieces of music that so accurately express a wonderful and magnificent aspect of Christ’s love, mercy, grace and forgiveness. Sure, many of the hymns may be hundreds of years old in some cases, but their messages are timeless. Tastes in music may change, but God does not. He is the same today, yesterday and tomorrow.

God displayed His mighty and awe-inspiring love for us - a bunch of sinners - when He sent his one and only Son to Earth. Jesus Christ willingly went to the cross, enduring a painful, agonizing and wholly undeserved death on our behalf. He suffered and died for you and me.

Because of Christ’s death and resurrection, there is the forgiveness of sins and salvation. We did nothing to deserve such a gift and sacrifice. How great is His love for us!

In a clip posted on YouTube, Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, TAYA and others sing the classic hymn “How Great Thou Art.”

“Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee
How great Thou art, How great Thou art
Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art”

That is a song, no matter how many times you hear it, it will always cause an emotional reaction. The lyrics and the message mean so much to so many. To think that God, the Creator of the universe, cared enough for you and me to send His Son to die and take our place is humbling. It's enough to move even the most stoic person to tears.

God is love, and He demonstrated this when He sent His Son to die for us when we were still living in sin. Praise His name!

Romans 5:8 “But God has made clear his love to us, in that, when we were still sinners, Christ gave his life for us.”

Wintley Phipps Beautiful 'I Surrender All' Performance

The video starts with Wintley Phipps, a Trinidadian-American singer, songwriter, record producer, and minister, standing in front of a microphone singing the popular hymn, ‘I Surrender All.’

His rendition is powerful as his Bass-baritone voice comes through. You can’t help stop what you are doing to listen to him.

The hymn ‘I Surrender All’ was written by an American art teacher and musician who later surrendered his life to Christian service, Judson W. Van Deventer. It was put to music by Winfield S. Weeden and published in 1896. The song soon became popular in most Christian churches as it still is today.

Billy Graham studied and fellowshipped with Judson and said he greatly influenced him in earlier preaching.

Many artists have recorded ‘I Surrender All’, including Glen Campbell, Carman, Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, and Newsboys.

As the lyrics state,

“I surrender all,
I surrender all,
All to thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.”

The song is a reminder that we need to surrender all to God and give ourselves to him. The lyrics are strong and easy to remember and it is easy to reflect on them during times in your life when you need the reminder.

The comments talk about how this song is a reminder to surrender to God. One states, “Lord I surrender all to you, bring me closer to you daily, Beautiful singing and beautiful song, God bless you my dear brother in Christ” and another says, “Thank you Whitley for sending this Hymn. One of my favorites.  You did an amazing presentation of this. I needed this. You have Blessed me Amen” about Wintley’s performance.

“And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as you will.” - Matthew 26:39

Woman Praises Jesus With ‘Oceans (Where Feet May Fail’ Cover While Doing Laundry

A musically gifted young woman showed off her God-given talent with an outstanding performance of a beloved contemporary Christian song while completing a household chore.

Christians are called to worship and honor the Lord for all He has done, is doing and will do. However, followers of Christ do not have to be in a house of worship to praise and worship His name. It’s possible to do so as we go about our daily lives, completing those seemingly mundane tasks.

A clip posted on Instagram shows one woman, Liv Swearingen, bringing glory and honor to His name while she folds laundry. As Liv puts clothes on hangers, she belts out the beautifully written lyrics to Hillsong UNITED’s tune ‘Oceans (Where Feet May Fail).”

The young woman can sing. She belts out the lyrics about having complete faith in and calling upon His name in times of uncertainty and trouble.

“Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander”

Again, people do not have to be in church to praise His name. In fact, our acts of worship and praise are likely to have an even bigger impact while going about our daily lives. Those who may not hear about Christ otherwise may see your actions or hear your words and be moved and prodded to learn more about Him.

In the video’s caption, Liv stresses the importance of praising His name daily.

“Take time in the everyday ordinary moments to look up and acknowledge God’s goodness,” she wrote.

Like Liv’s short clip perfectly demonstrates, we all have moments and times throughout our day when we can and should praise, honor and worship His name.

Hebrews 13:15 “Let us then make offerings of praise to God at all times through him, that is to say, the fruits of lips giving witness to his name.”

Anthem Lights 'Great Is Thy Faithfulness' Beautiful A Cappella Cover

The harmonies with this version of ‘Great is Thy Faithfulness’ are simply beautiful. You want to keep listening to the song over and over again.

Sung by the Nashville vocal group, Anthem Lights, this song is a popular hymn in the Christian church. ‘Great is Thy Faithfulness’ was written as a poem by Thomas Chisholm in 1923. He sent the poem to William M. Runyan to put it to music and the song quickly became popular among church groups.

The lyrics reference Lamentations 3:22-23, “It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is your faithfulness.”

“Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father
There is no shadow of turning with Thee
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not
As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be”

is how the song begins, and it truly is a timeless piece. 'Great Is Thy Faithfulness' was relevant for people 100 years ago just as it is today.

Billy Graham and Dr. William Henry Houghton also helped make the hymn popular with Billy Graham using the song in his crusades

Anthem Lights sings a range of covers, medleys, and mashups of popular music. The group is made up of Caleb Grimm, Chad Graham, Joey Stamper, and Spencer Kane and they definitely know how to sing.

You can hear the passion of this group behind their vocals as they sing ‘Great is Thy Faithfulness.’ So many in the comments are loving it. One commenter stated, “WOW. Blown away. Those harmonies are so wild, I love it! Hallelujah” and another said, “SO GREAT IS HIS FAITHFULNESS! I have your amazing voices on repeat…such gifts He has bestowed upon each of you.”

An a cappella cover of a hymn is a great way to listen to one. This one is especially so.

Official Music Video ‘Parking Lot’ By Cochren Co.

An immensely talented group of Christian musicians, Cochren & Co., sang a catchy and upbeat tune about the location where Jesus Christ reached out to and confronted them.

The Bible makes it clear that God does not want to see anyone perish or cast into the lake of fire. That’s why, while we were lost in our sin and shame, God sent His one and only Son as a sacrifice, taking our place on the cross. God’s Word mentions He always chases us, hoping to reach us and that we turn back toward Him. The book of Psalms states that there isn’t any place we could go where God will not be present.

Yes, a church is typically the place where people encounter God. But God is not limited and confined to the inside of a house of worship. He can and will reach anyone anywhere.

In a clip posted on YouTube, the band Cochren & Co. sing about how God and His Holy Spirit confronted someone in an odd location – a parking lot. In the official music video for their song “Parking Lot,” the group sings how the Lord reached out to a sinner and saved them while in a parking lot.

“It was a still small voice on a Tuesday night
Like You were right there with me on the passenger side
You turned that car into a mountaintop
Oh, I met Jesus in a parking lot”

What an uplifting and encouraging message! It’s hard to listen to that song and not get emotional. It perfectly encapsulates the power, love and mercy of Jesus Christ. He is alive and continues to save and change lives today.

Praise God!

He can reach anyone, anywhere at any time.

Psalm 139: 7-8 “Where could I go from your Spirit? Or where could I flee from your presence? If I ascend up into heaven, you are there. If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, you are there!”
