It was the summer of ’92 when I met a young man who affected me like no one I had ever met before, or since. My desire to be in his company had me feeling like a silly love struck teenager. I felt out of control and very vulnerable. This caused me to seek my Maker’s advice. When the Holy Spirit whispered to me “Turn to Psalm 45” I had no idea what I would find. You can imagine my excitement and astonishment when I discovered Psalm 45 to be a wedding song. This threw me into a whirlwind of craziness, as it became more and more clear He was telling me that I would one day marry this young man. It was then I wrote this song. A long 12 months later, we had our first date (see the photo of us sitting together on a pink blanket @ 1.30mins).

In May (2012) we will have been married 15 very happy years, and the words in this song are as true today as they were when I penned them almost 20 years ago. Love you, Paul. Thanks for being an amazing husband and a wonderful Dad. xx
