For of Him and Through Him

For of Him and Through Him

Anne Wilson's Heartfelt 'My Father's Daughter' Lyric Video

Popular Christian musician Anne Wilson has released the official heartfelt lyric video for her new song “My Father’s Daughter.”

Fathers are extraordinary men that the good Lord has placed in our lives. They are gentle, kind, caring individuals who are also supportive and quick to share knowledge and words of wisdom. Fathers offer protection, guidance, direction and even correction when needed.

Everyone needs someone like that to show them how to handle and navigate life. Even if they aren’t a biological father, men who become father-type figures are invaluable to children. Through their words and actions, those men are shaping the next generation.

In the official lyric video for Anne’s song “My Father’s Daughter,” Anne is spotted in the studio singing and recording the beautiful song. But also included is sweet, heartfelt video footage of little girls interacting with their fathers. Some of the material even appears to be parts of home videos, likely of Anne as a child with her dad.

But as sweet and touching as the images are in the video, the song’s lyrics are just as likely to cause you to shed a tear or two. The song is essentially about how much Anne looks up to and adores her father. She adds that she will always be her father's daughter no matter where she goes or what she does.

The song’s following lines also mention how Anne knows that she can always rely upon her father for love and support no matter what she is going through or experiencing.

“When I just can’t make sense of anything, this woman I’m becoming

The world might put some labels on her, but no matter where I go

I’ll always be

My father’s daughter”

That’s exactly what every child wants, needs and deserves. They need a father figure in their lives to love and support them in any situation, to be someone they can count on when life gets messy and confusing.

Ephesians 6:4 “And, you fathers, do not make your children angry: but give them training in the teaching and fear of the Lord.”

Danny Gokey, Colton Dixon, Melinda Doolittle Heartfelt Tribute To Mandisa with 'Shackles (Praise You)' Performance

Check out this heartfelt tribute to Mandisa with the song 'Shackles (Praise You)' performed by Danny Gokey, Colton Dixon, and Melinda Doolittle.

‘Take the shackles off my feet so I can dance

I just want to praise you, I just want to praise you

You broke the chains now I can lift my hands

And I'm gonna praise you, I'm gonna praise you’

What an amazing performance from these former American Idol contestants honoring their late friend Mandisa! As the trio sings the song 'Shackles (Praise You)' with such energy and emotion, pictures of Mandisa are displayed all around the room as people clap and sway along to the music.

“That is how to celebrate Mandisa!” says Ryan Seacrest as he walks on the stage at the end of the performance. “Thank you for coming back for this,” he says to the singers. Then Ryan asks Melinda about her friendship with the late singer.

“I’ve known her for over 20 years. We started off singing background in sessions together,” shared Melinda. “And then she got on Idol, and I cheered for her. And then I came the next season, and she cheered for me. That is my girl.”

Many people online were touched by the heartwarming tribute from Danny Gokey, Colton Dixon, and Melinda Doolittle.

“Thank you American Idol for getting this right and honoring Mandisa, her beliefs, and love for Jesus with a song by artists who believe the same,” writes one person on YouTube after watching the video.

Christian Couple Chilling 'Breathe' Duet

Listen to this beautiful duet of the song ‘Breathe’ from a talented Christian couple, Caleb + Kelsey.

‘This is the air I breathe, this is the air I breathe

Your holy presence living in me

This is my daily bread, this is my daily bread

Your very word spoken to me’

The couple is sitting in pews in a church singing this wonderful worship song together, and their vocals and harmonies sound incredible. The song ‘Breathe,’ made popular by Michael W. Smith, talks about needing God’s presence and grace in our lives, just like we need air in our lungs. Caleb + Kelsey’s song performance really brought out the message that the lyrics convey.

Caleb and Kelsey Grimm are the husband-and-wife duo known as Caleb + Kelsey. They are known for their original arrangements of modern worship songs, Christian hymns, and duets of some of the most popular love songs. They are from Nashville, TN, and have several #1 selling albums. And their fan base online just keeps on growing!

“I loved this song in the 90s, and I love it again, thanks to you guys! I love everything you both do!” shares one fan on YouTube after watching their ‘Breathe’ music video.

As for the history of the song ‘Breathe,’ it was written by Marie and John Barnett during a spontaneous moment of worship at their church.

"We had been singing ‘Isn’t He’ by John Wimber," Marie Barnett shared, "and my husband continued to play. I was so enthralled with Jesus at that moment, thinking I could never live, I could never even take a breath, if I didn’t have a word from Him every day. And I heard those words—‘This is the air I breathe. This is my daily bread’—and I started singing them." And before she knew it, the congregation had joined her in singing those words.

We hope that you enjoyed listening to Caleb + Kelsey’s cover of ‘Breathe’ today!

Firm Foundation' Cody Carnes Moving Live Performance

Check out this moving live performance as Cody Carnes sings ‘Firm Foundation.’ The song is a favorite during Sunday morning worship, assuring Jesus’s followers that our Heavenly Father is always there for His children!

The message in ‘Firm Foundation,’ co-written by Cody Carnes, Chandler Moore, and Austin Davis and released in 2021, is simple. When we put our trust in Jesus, we will never be alone. Regarding the inspiration behind ‘Firm Foundation,’ the 35-year-old singer, songwriter, and worship pastor said, “The world can be in chaos all outside our windows, but when we build our house on Jesus, we can have confidence knowing that our foundation is secure. We’re not going down!”

Cody and the five talented musicians who join him on stage are joyful and passionate, as are the throngs of worshippers in the audience. They raise their hands and lift their voices to Jesus. It is a goose-bump-inducing and skin-tingling 8.5 minutes of worship.

At 6.0, Cody and the band move right into another equally inspiring song. They sing ‘Great Are You Lord,’ written by All Sons and Daughters. Here are the first four lines of ‘Great Are You Lord:’

‘You give life, You are love

You bring light to the darkness

You give hope, You restore

Every heart that is broken’

Teachers recognize that students learn differently—unique learners require different approaches to help them comprehend the material being taught. Sometimes, it’s like that in church. Different types of ministers and music connect or resonate with various believers.

Some prefer the two rousing worship songs in this live video. And, others enjoy the quieter, more formal old hymns like ‘Great is Thy Faithfulness’ and ‘How Great Thou Art,' which have similar messages and meanings to those performed by Cody Carnes and crew.

One thing is for sure. As much as worshiping fills our souls, our Father in Heaven loves it more! When our voices are raised in praise, He is delighted!

Let’s never fail to sing praises to God, because He is faithful, and He is great!

“God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.” 1 Corinthians 1:9

Sarah Reeves Inspires with Her Latest Song 'More Than Enough'

Christian music artist Sarah Reeves inspires and encourages others with the official music video for her song “More than Enough.”

Whoever came up with that old saying, “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me,” couldn’t have been more wrong. Words most certainly hurt and wound and can cause a ton of destruction.

A hurtful or even careless word can be enough to damage someone’s view of themselves and their abilities. An individual blessed with a gift for singing, acting or writing may shy away from those activities, choosing not to develop those God-given skills because someone somewhere along the way said they weren’t any good. Because of words someone uttered, people may grow up feeling and thinking that they don’t measure up or aren’t good enough.

In the official video for her song “More than Enough,” Sarah reminds and encourages listeners. It’s a beautiful tune for anyone who, for whatever reason, believes they are worthless, unloved or just not enough for this or that.

The entire song is an uplifting tune, telling listeners that they have worth and that while they may have been hurt in the past, they are more than enough. The entire song is beautifully written and performed.

“Who stole all of your happiness (happiness)

Who almost pushed you off the edge? (off the edge)

Don’t need their arms to make you complete, don’t take a genius to see

That you are, baby, you are more than enough”

People can be needlessly cruel, saying and doing things that can negatively impact others in ways we may never imagine. Our actions and the words we say do affect others. Therefore, we must always carefully consider what we say because once those words leave our mouths, there is no way to put them back.

Ephesians 4:29 “Let no evil talk come out of your mouth, but only what is good for giving necessary teaching, and for grace to those who give ear.”

Soul-Stirring Chris Rupp A Cappella ‘I Will Rise’ Cover

Chris Rupp has turned in a soul-stirring and moving a cappella cover performance of “I Will Rise.”

Life is an unpredictable series of events. One minute, you could be on top of the world, loving life while experiencing the highest of highs. Then, the next, you could find yourself in one of the darkest valleys, going through immense pain, hurt and grief.

Anyone who says they can 100 percent predict what will happen from one moment to the next is either insane, a liar or probably a little bit of both. Life can be a rollercoaster ride, changing directions without a moment’s notice. It’s enough to wear and fray on the most sane, well-adjusted person’s nerves.

Thankfully, through everything that life may throw at us—all the ups and downs—we can have and experience peace. Christ offers peace, love and comfort during life’s many storms, promising never to leave nor forsake us.

In the video above, Chris gives a fantastic a cappella cover performance of “I Will Rise,” a song by legendary Christian musician Chris Tomlin. The tune’s beautifully written lyrics emphasize that Jesus Christ has won the victory over death and the grave. He has won the ultimate victory.

“Jesus has overcome

And the grave is overwhelmed

The victory is won

He is risen from the dead”

The lyrics add that when He calls us one day, we will rise and go to our heavenly home. It will be a place where there is no more sorrow, pain, hurt or grief. There will be no more tears shed when He calls us home.

What a wonderful and joyful thought! Heaven will be a wonderful place where we’ll be able to reunite with those loved ones who have gone on before us and finally see Jesus Christ Himself.

Revelation 21:4 “And he will put an end to their weeping; and there will be no more death, or sorrow, or crying, or pain; for the first things have come to an end.”
