Legendary singer and songwriter Andrea Bocelli joins with Mary J. Blige for a stunning rendition of ‘What Child Is This?’ 2019 has been an incredible year for Andrea. He released Si Forever: The Diamond Edition, which was a follow up to his internationally successful number one album, Si. And recently, Andrea found out that his album was nominated for a Grammy award in ‘Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album.’ Andrea Bocelli has been a staple in the music scene for decades. Today, we’re looking back as one of his most famous performances with fellow singer Mary J. Blige. Just listen as they beautifully belt out these iconic Christmas lyrics. ‘What Child is this Who laid to rest On Mary's lap is sleeping? Whom Angels greet with anthems sweet, While shepherds watch are keeping?’ This incredible song reminds us all of the real reason for the Christmas season. The birth of our Savior was truly a miraculous event. His birth paved the way for our path into Heaven and that is something to sing out for all to hear. What a blessing, indeed! ‘This, this is Christ the King, Whom shepherds guard and Angels sing Haste, haste, to bring Him laud, The Babe, the Son of Mary.’ Luke 2:15 “And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.”

Instead of the routine opening with a comedy skit, Saturday Night Live opened with the New York City Children's Chorus singing "Silent Night" to honor the victims of Sandy Hook Elementary Shootings. It will bring tears to your eyes. May God bring comfort and peace to these hurting families and nation.

We as a Nation and as a Family have experienced great loss and now carry heavy hearts. Cannot even imagine what these days have been like for those who have lost love ones. After hearing peoples stories, Youtube comments, our news reporters, and also hearing what others had to share at my local Church at Access here in Portland, OR, I could not help, but be moved to write this song. A song that I wish to share with you all. As individuals and families listen to the words of this song, we pray that they to would also find healing, comfort, strength, love, hope, and peace in them. (Please feel free to share this with others)

My thoughts and prayers continue to go out to the victims, families and the Clackamas, OR and Newtown, CT communities that have been affected by these past shootings.

Matthew is a nine-year old boy who lives in a wealthy home. He, one day, sees Andrew, a little boy of his own age, getting into an SUV with his family. Matthew can tell from the look of the SUV that both Andrew and his family are living inside of it. Matthew is so moved when he sees Andrew that he decides to do something to help him. He comes up with the idea of participating in a “Secret Santa Mission” on Christmas Eve, helping Andrew not be so scared of the dark shadows that pass by at night.
