Jelly Roll and Brandon Lake’s Live Soul-Stirring ‘Hard Fought Hallelujah’ Performance

Jelly Roll and Brandon Lake turned in a live soul-stirring “Hard Fought Hallelujah” performance. The two super-talented musicians wowed the crowd at the Grand Ole Opry with their powerful, moving rendition of the hit song. Watch the short but emotional clip as Brandon and Jelly Roll give a dazzling vocal performance.

Life is often not an enjoyable experience. Sadly, storms and challenges have a way of finding and visiting all of us at one time or another. There will no doubt be instances that push you to your limits and result in immense pain and sorrow.

There may even be times when you’re left wondering and asking about God. Where is He in all of this? What is He doing right now? Why has He seemingly disappeared when I need Him the most? While those are normal thoughts to have while going through a storm, God is forever faithful. He has never let us down in the past and won’t do so in the future, either.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Brandon and Jelly Roll perform “Hard Fought Hallelujah.” It’s an emotional, powerful tune about going through life’s storms but continuing to praise and thank the Lord even when it hurts and we’re unsure about His plan.

“There’s times when my hands go up freely

And times that it costs, oh-oh

There’s days when a praise comes out easy

Days when it takes all the strength I got”

Even if you aren’t a fan of either Brandon or Jelly Roll, “Hard Fought Hallelujah” is still an easy song to love. The song describes a situation everyone has been in at one time or another. We’ve all experienced pain and heartache.

Praising and thanking the Lord when things are going well and according to our plan is easy. But it’s much more difficult to do when we’re experiencing pain, sorrow and grief. Regardless of our present circumstances, He is good, loving and faithful. He is still deserving of all praise, glory and honor.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 “In everything give praise: for this is the purpose of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

Choir’s Lovely Rendition of ‘How Firm a Foundation’ Will Lift Your Spirit

A choir’s lovely rendition of “How Firm a Foundation” will lift your spirits. This powerful and awe-inspiring performance of the beloved hymn will cause you to sit up and take notice. Watch this moving cover of the hymn near and dear to the hearts of many.

Building a life and putting trust in anything other than Jesus Christ is a recipe for disaster and heartache. He is loving, quick to forgive and will always be faithful. The same cannot be said for anything else in this world. Things are temporary and waste away; people tend to fail and let us down.

Christ is the only solid and firm foundation, the building block upon which Christians are instructed to build their lives. All other foundations and platforms are nothing more than sinking sand. They will do nothing but deteriorate and wash away when life’s storms and challenges come calling. The only thing that will sustain us and see us through is trust and faith in Jesus Christ. He is faithful and always will be.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a massive collection of musicians performs “How Firm a Foundation,” a beloved hymn that beautifully and eloquently articulates how Christ is the solid rock, life’s firm foundation. The rendition is astounding, bringing new life to a hymn that I feel is often forgotten but is still so powerful and relevant.

No matter what troubles or issues we may encounter, we can count on Him to sustain, guide and protect us through them. He has never let us down before, and there is no indication or reason to believe He will start now.

“When through fiery trials thy pathway lie,
My grace, all-sufficient, shall be thy supply;
The flame shall not hurt thee; I only design
Thy dross to consume, and thy gold to refine”

Matthew 7:24 “Everyone then, to whom my words come and who does them, will be like a wise man who made his house on a rock;”

The Battle Is Over

The Battle of Armageddon will end all wars and unite God with his people forever.

Brooke Ligertwood’s Soul-Stirring Live Rendition of ‘Glorious Day’

Some moments in worship don’t just fill a room—they break something open. They shake the ground. They peel back the veil between heaven and earth, leaving nothing but the raw presence of God. And that’s exactly what happened when Brooke Ligertwood took the stage at Passion 2025 for a soul-stirring live rendition of ‘Glorious Day.’

From the moment she stepped up to the mic, there was a sense of expectancy. A hush. A holy pause before heaven rushed in. With thousands of voices filling the arena, hands lifted, hearts wide open, Brooke led the room into Glorious Day—not just as a song, but as a chance to worship from the heart!

"I was buried beneath my shame…"

The first lyric fell like a whisper in hearts as it thundered throughout the arena. A heartbeat of knowing the lyrics in a personal way, woven into melody. And then, like a flood, the truth came rushing in.

"You called my name, and I ran out of that grave!"

It became a moment of release, of freedom. Of chains breaking. Of a generation stepping into the light of redemption with voices raised so high they nearly lifted the roof off the stadium.

But it wasn’t just the sound—it was the weight of the Spirit in the room. You could feel it, thick as glory, swirling between every lyric, pressing into every soul. Brooke didn’t just sing—she led with the kind of authority that only comes from knowing Jesus intimately, from walking through fire and coming out refined. As she sang, something powerful happened. Tears streamed, and knees hit the floor. Arms wrapped around one another as people who had walked into that arena carrying burdens found themselves suddenly, miraculously, free.

And when the song built to its final chorus, the room erupted. A sound so full of joy, so drenched in the goodness of God, that for a moment, it felt like a glimpse of eternity.

This wasn’t just a performance. It wasn’t just a worship set. It was a battle cry. A call to life. A testimony set to music, declaring what has already been won. And as the last chord faded, as the echoes of thousands of voices still lingered in the air, one thing was clear—this wasn’t just a night of worship. It was a moment that would be remembered, a marker in the lives of every person who stood in that room, arms lifted, singing with everything they had.

Psalm 30:11 "You turned my mourning into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy."

Soul-Stirring A Cappella Version of ‘He Leadeth Me’

Sometimes, a song doesn’t just wash over you—it reaches down, lifts your weary soul, and reminds you who holds it all together. Sam Robson’s soul-stirring a cappella version of ‘He Leadeth Me’ is one of those moments that have to be shared.

Sam, a musician with an ear for the divine, a composer with a gift for harmonies, and a singer, made this song feel like heaven touching the earth. He took an old hymn and breathed something fresh into it. He split the arrangement into four parts, layering his own voice with the kind of precision and beauty that only comes when talent is surrendered at the feet of the One who gave it.

And what happened next? Stillness. Awe. Worship.

This hymn, penned in 1862 by Joseph Gilmore during the Civil War, has been sung in churches and whispered in the quiet places of hearts for over a century. But Sam, in an impromptu search, stumbled upon it with no references, no guides—just the raw, open space of his own creativity.

He captioned the video, “This one I found through an impromptu search online, I had at the time little to no reference of other artist/ensembles singing this one to inspire me, which meant my creative decision really came out of all the skills and ideas that have become the melting pot of my arranging process!”

And maybe that’s what makes this version so stirring.

It’s not just music; it’s prayer. It’s a deep inhale of grace and an exhale of trust.

One listener shared, "I'm listening to the song with my eyes closed, and I feel so much peace. God bless you, Sam."

Another wrote, "This was absolutely perfect this Sunday morning before going into Bible study. Thank you, Sam, for sharing your beautiful voice."

Aren’t they right? Don’t we all need moments like this—to pause, to let the harmonies settle into the cracks of our souls, to breathe in the goodness of a God who leads, even when the path is steep and the way uncertain?

Maybe today is a good day to close our eyes, press play, and let the melody remind us: He leads us still.

Psalm 23:2-3 "He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul."

Young Voices Shine in Beautiful Easter Song ‘This Is Jesus’

A choir of young voices shines in the beautiful Easter song “This is Jesus.” The youngsters demonstrate their vocal talents with their lovely rendition of a tune about the death, resurrection and love of Jesus Christ. Watch this short but powerful clip to see and hear the choir of young singers use their musical talents to bring glory and honor to His name.

Human beings are sinners; all of us have fallen well short of the glory of God. As the Bible says, the wages of sin is death, which we will experience at one time or another. However, thanks to the love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ, that does not have to be a spiritual death as well.

Jesus Christ willingly went to the cross. He took our place on that cursed tree, enduring an agonizing, excruciatingly painful and humiliating death. But that was not the end. He won victory over death, sin and the grave with His death and resurrection. He bridged the gap, the rupture sin caused between God and man. And He did all of that because He thought you and I were worth it.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a choir of talented young performers sings “This is Jesus” about His loving, world-changing and life-giving sacrifice on the cross. While the young singers' vocal performances are noteworthy, the song’s emotional and powerful lyrics help make it one to remember.

“Imagine what it would have been
To see Him when He rose again
To touch His wounded hands and feet
And know He died for you and me”

In addition to singing about His death and resurrection, the children also mention that one day, Christ will return to Earth again. At that time, they perform, every tongue will confess, and every knee will bow with the understanding and knowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord.

What a lovely song, beautifully performed by a group of incredibly talented young singers.

John 14:6 “Jesus said to him, I am the true and living way: no one comes to the Father but by me.”

Just As I Am

Classic Hymn meets Classic Rock

Pass Me Not

I became aware of this hymn as a prison volunteer. The men loved to sing this hymn. Nothing against the hymn as originally written but I could not resist interpreting the lyrics in a blues format to take it out of church and take it to the streets.

Worship Team's Beautiful 'Goodness of God' Cover

One praise and worship team turned in a beautiful “Goodness of God” cover. Their stunning rendition of the popular contemporary Christian music song deserves repeated listens. Watch the short clip to see and hear the awe-inspiring performance of the song that is near and dear to the hearts of many.

Without God and His Son, Jesus Christ, none of us would have a chance. We’d all be facing an eternity lost and forever separated from Him. Of course, that’s what every one of us deserves, for we are all sinners who have fallen short of the glory of God.

However, because of God’s love, mercy, grace and goodness, He changed everything for humanity. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to take our place. Christ willingly went to the cross where He suffered and died, spilling His blood that offers forgiveness of sins and eternal salvation.

In a clip posted on YouTube, the praise and worship team from First Baptist Clarksville in Clarksville, Tennessee, performs “Goodness of God.” Most people are likely very familiar with this song, but that does not diminish the beauty and truth imparted by the tune’s lyrics. Only because of God's goodness, mercy and grace are we forgiven and can look forward to spending eternity in heaven with Him.

“‘Cause all my life You have been faithful
And all my life you have so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God”

He has forgiven us of our sins and continues to pour out His blessings on our lives. Additionally, how many times have we found ourselves in a predicament of our own making, and God offered a way out, a solution when none seemed possible? He is not only exceedingly good to us, but He is abundantly faithful.

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

Anthony Evans’ Soul-Stirring Covers of ‘Firm Foundation’ and ‘Gratitude’

Anthony Evans has delivered soul-stirring covers of “Firm Foundation” and “Gratitude.” The immensely gifted singer put his talent on full display with these awe-inspiring and moving renditions of songs that are near and dear to the hearts of many. Watch the video to see and hear Anthony’s dazzling vocal performances.

This world is lost and broken beyond repair. Sin utterly and completely wrecks and destroys everything it touches, as evidenced by what is seen daily on every television news broadcast. Lives, relationships and careers have been destroyed by sin.

Sadly, because we live in a sin-filled world, Christians are not safe from experiencing soul-crushing, devastating circumstances. But even when everything around us appears to be falling apart, we can have peace. We can, believe it or not, have joy amid all the chaos. How is that possible? Like every one of life’s questions and problems, the answer is Jesus Christ.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Anthony beautifully performs two songs loved by many: “Firm Foundation” and “Gratitude.” The performances from Anthony and the musicians who joined him are superb, a true feast for the ears. This performance deserves to be listened to repeatedly. The amount of talent present in this seven-minute video is astounding.

The lyrics in both of these popular songs are accurate and moving. They inform listeners that even when things around us appear bleak and hopeless, we can still have joy, happiness and peace. Christ is faithful and loving and remains in control even during chaos and confusion. He has never let us down; there’s no reason to believe he will now.

“I’ve still got joy in chaos
I’ve got peace that makes no sense
And I won’t be going under
I’m not held by my own strength”

Ephesians 5:19 “Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;”

Anne Wilson Talks Sharing Her Faith at Secular Country Concerts

Christian country artist Anne Wilson talks with us about sharing her Christian message to new audiences while opening for some of today’s biggest secular artists. Anne shares how her faith shapes her music and how she stays true to her calling, even in mainstream spaces.

The world is lost and broken, with many people hurting and struggling. They are looking for answers, something to stop the hurt and sorrow. Individuals will look here and there, possibly finding a temporary solution that will numb the pain for a time. However, soon enough, the pain and hurt returns.

People in this world need Christ and His healing, life-changing touch. Christians are called to be fishers of men, to witness and tell others about Christ and the Gospel. Anne, a Christian country music artist, has had the opportunity to tell others about Jesus Christ.

But telling others about Jesus Christ is often much easier said than done. Anne mentions how she has experienced reservations and fears about talking to some crowds about Jesus.

“I had a show opening for Morgan Wallen and Koe Wetzel,” she said. “I don’t know if you know anything about Koe Wetzel, but we are night and day different, and I was so nervous. I was like shaking all over, and I remember being like, ‘How am I going to get up and talk about Jesus? Like, I do not feel like I can do this.’”

Later in the clip, Anne explains how she overcame her fear and trepidation. She says she thought about the disciples and how many of them experienced painful, agonizing deaths for sharing the Gospel.

She added that sharing the Gospel and telling others about Jesus Christ, even when we feel apprehensive and uneasy about it, is precisely what it means to be a Christian.

What wise and moving words from an incredibly talented and gifted young woman.

Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God to salvation to everyone that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”

Act of Congress’ Stunning Acoustic ‘I’ll Fly Away’ Performance

Genre-bending acoustic quartet Act of Congress stopped by the Godtube Music Studio in Nashville, Tennessee, and performed their version of the classic hymn 'I'll Fly Away.' The track can be found on their 2024 album, “The Hymns That Made Us.”

Many churches seem to be moving away from hymns. Instead of hymns, many houses of worship are opting to use contemporary Christian music to fill the praise and worship portion of their Sunday morning service. This seems to be an ever-growing trend.

This may be a controversial opinion, especially given the popularity of contemporary Christian music, but I much prefer the old hymns. Yes, there are some fantastic modern praise and worship songs. But there is simply no comparison when it comes to hymns like “Great is Thy Faithfulness,” “How Great Thou Art” and “Amazing Grace.”

Another classic hymn that is nearly impossible to top when compared to any contemporary Christian music tune is “I’ll Fly Away.” Of course, it’s a song that most people know well, but classics are called classics for a reason. The group Act of Congress does the song more than justice, playing a beautiful and memorable version of the beloved tune.

“I’ll Fly Away” is a song about death, but instead of fearing or dreading it, it’s about what awaits followers of Christ on the other side. While well-known to anyone familiar with the song, the lyrics remain as relevant and powerful as ever.

“Some glad morning when this life is over
I’ll fly away
To a home on God’s celestial shore
I’ll fly away”

Much like the lyrics to the classic hymn, this performance is one to remember and noteworthy. All four performers are obviously tremendously talented, which comes across with their most enjoyable rendition of “I’ll Fly Away.”

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”
