The reference to "We see through a glass darkly," can be found in the First Epistle in Paul's letters to the Corinthians, in the New Testament. In the context of this song we are reminded that if we try to see through an obscure piece of glass, our vision will be clouded and imperfect. We can go through life avoiding truth, and honesty. Sometimes we misunderstand the sensitive individuals who are brave enough to see past the darkness and seek authenticity. A pair of unbelievably talented singers gave a stunning and simply remarkable performance, singing a tune originally sung by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli.

People have the ability to spot beauty even if they don’t quite fully understand it. For example, anyone with a working set of eyes can look at a lovely painting or a delightful photograph and see the beauty contained in that work, even if they know nothing else about it. They do not have to be familiar with the artist or the meaning or feeling they were trying to convey with their work of art. 

Music works in a similar fashion. People can and often do love and appreciate music that they may not fully comprehend. A song’s lyrics in a language listeners are unfamiliar with can still sound beautiful to the ear simply because of the sound. Understanding the lyrics is not necessarily a prerequisite for appreciating a song or recognizing a singer’s God-given talent. 

In a clip posted on YouTube, a brother and sister sing a duet to “The Prayer,” a song that Celine and Andrea Bocelli performed together. Parts of the song are performed in English and Italian, making for a most enjoyable experience. 

Before the two singers got into their performance, they provided a little background about how each came across the song. Then, soon after their short introduction, the music begins, and the two siblings open their mouths, completely exceeding every expectation you may have had for their performance.

The two have outstanding, beautiful and world-class level voices! 

To make their spectacular vocal performances even more astonishing,  both sing in Italian and English. While several may not understand any of the lyrics sung in Italian, understanding those words is not necessary to be able to appreciate and love this performance. 

Those two singers have voices that are truly God-given.

Their insane level of talent kind of catches you off guard because they appear to be so humble and down-to-earth. But when they begin singing, these two individuals show that they are both incredibly musically gifted and skilled. 

Psalm 105:2 “Let your voice be sounding in songs and melody; let all your thoughts be of the wonder of his works.”

The clip starts out with an amazing light show and a young woman dressed in white at a piano. Other singers dressed in black join in singing with her.

The chorus goes:

People are helping people
Making space at the table

Natalie is spreading an impactful message that there are still a lot of ways in which God is working through people that are often overlooked today. We can see the hurt and hear the hate, but there are still great reasons to “amen.” There have been a lot of difficult divisions and challenges in this world. 

It is easy to view the world from the perspective of only seeing the enemy at work. If we are not careful, the negative and the worries can bog us down to where we never see the good. Christ has overcome, and His Spirit is moving each and every day. Natalie is desiring to shed some light on the joy and the positive parts of life. She is reminding us to have hope and see the good.

We could all use a little more of the “glass half full” approach. Yes, sin exists, and pain is real, and we should be authentic in that struggle, but so often, we forget to live victoriously and joyfully each day. 

The Holy Spirit helps our cups to overflow and celebrate the good and the amazing ways the Lord is working in the midst of our mundane. This song does a great job of reminding us of that.

What I love the most about the music video is how Brandon partnered with ‘The Chosen’ which depicts various scenes from the T.V. series, showcasing Jesus’ miracles. 

The climactic chorus of the song brings us to the story in the book of Mark when a paralyzed man was lowered through a hole made in the roof of the home Jesus was visiting. This man’s friends knew Jesus could heal him. They didn’t let the hoards of people in the home stop them from laying their friend at Jesus’ feet. 

When you’re feelings are frayed and doubt becomes a drumbeat in your mind, listen to ‘TEAR OFF THE ROOF’ and be reminded you serve a God who heals, who provides, and is miraculous. This song is a reminder to go out all for Jesus. Go after Him with your whole heart. He is waiting with open arms to provide rest, strength, healing, and comfort.

Rebellion sounds a little like revolution. Go figure! Anne’s single, “Living Water,” was featured in the 2023 film Jesus Revolution. Whether Anne’s music describes right-minded rebellion, speaks about inspired revolution, or conveys life-saving messages via her powerful voice, her country-influenced contemporary Christian music is good!

One of the biggest names in Christian music, Lauren Daigle, used her time on stage at the Dove Awards to sing a song, “Be Okay,” in support of and encouragement for the nation of Israel following the deadly, unprovoked terrorist acts in the Middle Eastern country.

The Middle East has, for thousands of years, been a hotbed of bitter disagreement, discord and deadly violence. Groups throughout history have threatened and even attempted to wipe the Jewish people and the nation of Israel off the face of the Earth. The unjustified and wholly unprovoked deadly October 7 attack on the tiny Jewish state demonstrates that hate toward the Jewish people is still very much alive. 

In a clip posted on YouTube, Lauren Daigle addressed her peers at the Dove Awards, speaking on the attacks on Israel. She urged everyone to open their eyes to “what God may be calling us to.”

After speaking to the crowd, Lauren gave a heartfelt and moving performance. She sang “Be Okay,” a tune with an uplifting and positive message, encouraging people to continue fighting and going on even in the face of trials and hardships.

“You’re gonna be alright
Darling, you’re gonna be alright
‘Cause the stars’ll keep on shining through the darkest night
And you can know you’re gonna be alright”

Before her performance, Lauren encouraged all to share the good news and the love of the Gospel, to not shrink back from a fight, but instead speak up.

“We have the hope of eternity and the good news of the Gospel,” she said. “We aren’t bringing in messages that tear and divide. We’re bringing in messages that remind people of their worth, that remind children they are valuable, that they belong in society.”

Lauren ended her comments by stating that she and other Christians have been blessed with the responsibility and the opportunity to share the message of Christ with others.

“And I’ve been thinking, ‘God, how do I get these people prepared?’” she said. “We get to be a part of that number, that get to prepare the other people that are coming in to say, ‘What is it that Christianity actually has to offer? What is it?’ We get to be the ones to say, ‘There’s something greater. There’s something greater. His name is Jesus.’”

Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God to the salvation to everyone that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”

Check out this gospel message sung by a well-known country artist. “Old Roman Soldier” Gene Watson gospel song at Larry’s Country Diner.

At the start of this video, we see a live audience viewing a performance by country star, Gene Watson. He begins as the crowd is seated at dinner tables with food to enjoy during the show. As he begins the performance, the people cheer and clap for Gene. He begins to sing out the gospel.

The chorus says:

“Jesus say father forgive them
He was looking down on me
I'm an old Roman soldier
I stood at the foot of the tree”

Gene released “Old Roman Soldier” in 2017. He is now 80 years old, and this man sounds amazing. He has taken such good care of his voice. He is clearly a very talented individual who knows what life is truly about. He is using his talents to point others to the hope that they can have in Jesus. 

These lyrics are empowering and cause us to reflect on the perspective of the Roman soldier who stood next to Jesus as He died on the cross for our sins. This creates a visual for us through a song of what it might have been like for this man as he literally was standing next to the innocent and perfect Savior of the world as He took His last breath. 

The storytelling style of country music, paired with the Biblically supported lyrics, is a powerful testimony of the gospel. There is hope for all of us because of Jesus. He is the One who saves and rescues us, and His sacrifice was sufficient. We can celebrate and reflect on this hope as we listen.

“When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, ‘Surely he was the Son of God!’” Matthew 27:54

Listen to this new song called ‘Take It Easy’ by Matt Maher, Paul Zach, Kate Bluett, and Isaac Wardell.

This song is wonderful and has such a great message. ‘Take It Easy’ is part of an album called Sanctuary Songs created by Sanctuary Mental Health Ministries, and it is full of songs about mental health and faith. Their goal is to help people hold on to God’s presence at all times and in all circumstances—including experiences of mental health challenges.

In the song ‘Take It Easy,’ we are reminded that we can rest in the love and protection of our Heavenly Father, and His care is not something that we have to work for or earn. We are completely loved by Him, just the way we are.

Several musicians turned in an outstanding performance as they sang about laying down all their worries, fears and stresses at the feet of Jesus Christ.

Everyday living, with all its obligations and demands, can be a tall task. Sadly, it can often get to the point where making it through one single, solitary day can feel like a monumental accomplishment. Every choice, regardless of the situation or circumstance, can feel like a lose-lose proposition.

But even in cases of extreme worry and stress, when everything is overwhelming, people will still attempt to go at it alone. It’s easy to see, and most people understand that nothing good usually comes from these situations. In fact, people tend to make their issues immeasurably worse. This all occurs when there is a simple solution: lay it all at the feet of the Savior.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a group of musicians perform an acoustic version of “Come unto Jesus.” Right off the bat, in the opening verse, the songwriters encourage all who have problems, issues or worries to come to the Lord.

Many people in the world – people all around us – are hurting and struggling. There are legions of people today who are far too familiar with pain, heartache and suffering. Some may even believe they are all alone, left to fend for themselves in those times of extreme worry and stress. 

But instead of going at it alone, there is one who is more than capable. He has overcome all. He is a God of love, mercy and comfort. He invites us to bring our troubles to Him and to cast all our burdens on Him.

Matthew 11:28 -29 “Come to me, all you who are troubled and weighted down with care, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke on you and become like me, for I am gentle and without pride, and you will have rest for your souls.”

The music video was recently taken out of the vault and posted to YouTube, garnering thousands of views and comments. One viewer couldn’t help but compliment Wintley’s voice, “He does a beautiful job on this song thank you for singing. You have a  beautiful voice. Thank God Almighty, Amen!”  

Other viewers who have been fans of Wintley since the 1980s were impressed with his performance. One viewer added, “He still has it. Amen!”  Another viewer added what the meaning of the word ‘amen’ means and commented, “Praise the Lord! Amen means “so be it” believe your prayers are heard by God! They are! Amen, amen, and amen.”

This song is wonderfully written because it is edifying to the Savior. It is not about us, it is all about Him. This song directs our hearts and our minds to the Hero of the world.

The bridge has an encouraging reminder that the cross still stands and hell still knows. The truth of the gospel is still true for us. We are invited to celebrate the victory of Jesus. Just when we think we have heard this entire beautiful song, a man comes out preaching the Scriptures. It is a powerful moment of God’s kingdom work. 

You cannot help but join in with the congregation and worship our mighty Savior who has redeemed us. His sacrifice was more than enough and we are free from our sin. He is the name above all names. He is the only one worthy of our worship and that is stunningly written about in this song which is rich in Scripture. I love how rooted these lyrics are in the Word of God. This song has great heart and also solid truth which can be difficult to find. It is well done!

If you are looking for a new heartfelt worship song, look no further. 'Calvary's Enough' in Brooke Ligertwood official music video.

There is no denying that Brooke Ligertwood can sing. This song motivates our hearts to praise the Lord. Brooke has a tenderness and joy over her Savior Jesus. She radiates for Christ. 

At the start of the video, Brooke sits at the piano in the stillness of the moment. She sings with headphones over her ears in a recording session and plays the keys softly. Her lyrics cause us to ponder the provision of the cross of Jesus. 

She sings in a somber yet hopeful way. This song invites us to feel the emotions of the cross. The bitterness, the pain, the struggle, in yet the glorious freedom and salvation that we received. She sings that Jesus’ blood shouts, and He has provided more than enough. The perfect Savior gives us the perfect salvation.

Her chorus sings out:

In our shame and guilt, and in our pride and selfishness, we are invited to come to Christ and let go of our sin and receive His grace and forgiveness. His death and resurrection were all that we needed. This beautiful song encapsulates the gospel and provides us with the joy of singing along that Calvary (The place where Jesus died) was sufficient to cover the sins of all who believe in Him. We can be reminded of this truth through a stunning melody alongside Brooke. As she sings her heart out, we too can join in the song. He is worthy to receive our praise because it is finished.

Lukas Nelson, the son of the legendary Willie Nelson, has written and performed a beautiful, touching original song in the wake of the attack and tragedy in the Middle East.

The Middle East has, throughout history, been a hot spot for war and terrorism. In early October, Israel was, once again, attacked. Families were needlessly torn apart as hundreds were killed in a terrorist attack on the Middle Eastern country. 

Just days after the Oct. 7 attack on Israel, Lukas Nelson posted a video on YouTube of himself singing and playing an original song of his, “Broken as It Was.” It’s a heart-wrenching and emotionally stirring tune about what had taken place following the attack on the state of Israel.

“Running for their lives
I watched them try 
To find a place to hide”

Later in the song, Lukas sings that while he watched the horrific images that were splashed all over the television and social media, his heart was broken and hurting for those impacted by the violence. He sings that even though his heart was hurting and broken for the Jewish people, he prayed out to God for His touch on the situation.

In the video’s description, Lukas details what motivated him to write and record “Broken as It Was.”

“Suffering is universal, and the killing of innocents is never justified,” he wrote. “It is unbearably sad how many innocent people on this planet (have) been made to suffer for the evil of others.”

He added that his song is “about empathy in the wake of this recent tragedy” and the “feeling of helplessness as we watch and pray with broken hearts.”

Lukas is 100 percent correct. The images and videos coming out of the Middle East are devastating and soul-crushing. Let us all pray that God protects those innocent people who are in harm’s way. 

2 Thessalonians 3:3 “But the Lord is true, who will give you strength and keep you safe from evil.”

The moment we give our lives to Christ, it’s as if we are caught up in the ocean waves of the Holy Spirit. We can see who are in through God’s eyes, and at the same time, we are immersed in His perfect glory as He wraps us in His overwhelming love and grace. 

The moment we answer the altar call, our lives are changed forever. It’s a moment in our lives where we can mark where we were dead in our sins and when we were birthed into God’s family. 

‘Altar Call’ was recently posted to the internet, and it is on fire with thousands of souls praising God for making a way through His Son Jesus. The caption under the video says, “This song is a beautiful representation of the miraculous moment of salvation, where the believer fully surrenders their life to Jesus and receives that eternal and holy gift from God.” The word miracle is the only way to describe God’s sovereignty, mercy, and love.

Being called to repentance may sound like guilt and deserve punishment. But in God’s economy, repentance isn’t a punishment. It’s a chance to be immersed in the waters of His forgiveness. We’re washed anew! The moment of repentance is absolutely indescribable. If you’re in need of repentance, don’t hesitate to thank God for His forgiveness. May this song be a blessing and a bright light in your day. 

Revelations 2:5 “Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.”

A talented young man gave a dazzling and stirring performance of a beloved and highly recognizable piece of music about the birth of Jesus Christ.

Many pieces of music have been created to commemorate and honor the momentous, world-changing occasion when Jesus Christ was born. His entrance gave hope to a lost, broken and hurting world. Never before and never again will one birth change everything for everyone. 

Songs like “Joy to the World,” “Silent Night,” “Little Drummer Boy” and a handful of other Christmas tunes perfectly capture the excitement and joy felt following that precious child’s birth. In a clip posted on YouTube, one musician, Paul Fey, plays another song about Christ's birth.

Paul uses a massive, awe-inspiring instrument – a 129-ranks pipe organ – to play the “Hallelujah Chorus.” If you’re unfamiliar with the tune by the name, give the clip a few seconds, and you will instantly recognize the piece by its opening first few notes. 

The “Hallelujah Chorus” is a piece of music heard in countless movies, television shows and commercials, especially during the Christmas season. 

Paul’s hands expertly dance up and down and along the keys as the 3-and-a-half-minute clip gives viewers shot after shot of the enormous and stunning musical tool. The musical skill in the short but epic clip is mind-blowing. 

The “Hallelujah Chorus” is a heavenly-sounding tune created by man. While the song may be an earthy creation, many likely envision legions of angels singing this memorable chorus in the moments following the birth of Jesus Christ in that Bethlehem stable. 

Really, what better and other way would there have been than to respond with a never-ending chorus of “hallelujah” following the arrival of the King of kings and Lord of lords? 

The one sent to Earth to save man from their sins had finally arrived! Hallelujah, indeed! 

Isaiah 9:6 “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

Few songs convey the comfort and assurance that we have in Jesus better than “Firm Foundation (He Won’t),” performed live here by Katy Nichole and two talented musicians on guitar and percussion. For believers in Christ, “Firm Foundation” offers hope in the hard times and reminds us of the truth we’ve learned along the way. He won’t leave us or let us down!

Katy’s look is subtle and sincere; her clothes are neutral in color, and her jewelry is simple metal pieces. Who needs flash when you have a trio of Heavenly-blessed talents and a message with such incredible power!

Sometimes, we forget to rest in this truth. We get strung out with worry, doubt, and fear, but the writers of “Firm Foundation,” Cody Carnes, Austin Davis, and Chandler Moore, bring us back home—where peace and security lives. 

At 2:15, Katy begins the first verse again. This time, she sings more powerfully, boldly declaring where her confidence resides. And don’t miss all of the fun instruments that the drummer uses during the performance; the bridge at 3:15 is especially soothing. The guitarist sings along as the performance nears its conclusion, and at 5:10, Katy shouts out “He won’t”!

“Firm Foundation,” whether enjoyed in church during worship or while traveling alone during the morning commute, is a great anthem for starting one’s day. It’s rare that the outside world doesn’t present sadness and trials, but those types of days are far more tolerable when Katy’s voice and Cory, Austin, Chandler, and God’s words remain forefront in our minds.

Stand on the promises of the Lord as you listen to ‘Noting Ever Will’ performed by The Belonging Co. with Natalie Grant and Henry Seely. This worship moment captured on camera ushers us into reverence as we’re reminded nothing will ever become between us and our heavenly Father. 

Backdroped on a blue-lit stage, the sounds of a piano and organ begin the song's first few chords when Natalie cries out to Jesus before declaring, “Nothing ever will come between us, Jesus. Nothing ever will come between us, Jesus.” What a powerful reminder!

She then describes what our lives might look like when we need Jesus the most. It could be in the middle of a battle or in the middle of a storm. It may feel like all hope is lost. But none of these scenarios has the power to pry us from God’s mighty hands. We are reminded that God has the ultimate power and will stop at nothing to protect, care, and comfort His children.

Somedays it’s hard to keep our eyes focused on Christ when the situation we face overwhelms our thoughts and emotions. Anxiety and fear have us running in circles of ‘What if?” But if we can shift our focus, we can surrender to God and give Him complete control. We can exchange fear and worry as we whisper, ‘Let Your will be done.” 

In this genuine, awe-inspiring moment of worship, Natalie Grant, Henry Seely The Belonging Co. sing our heart’s desire, we want to firmly stand on the foundation of Christ. We hope this worship video gave you a moment to praise God and thank Him for how deeply He loves you!

When Brothers Of The Heart sing “Church in the Wildwood,” it’s easy to be reminded of the church home of one’s childhood. 

The song conjures recollections of Vacation Bible School, ice cream socials, lingering on the church’s front porch to chat a spell after services, and Easter or Thanksgiving sunrise services. It’s a pretty song with lovely imagery, and it evokes sweet memories.

“Church in the Wildwood” or “The Church in the Wildwood” was written by Dr. William S. Pitts in 1957; however, he composed the song eight years before entering medical school. The song was inspired during a coach ride. 

When Dr. Pitt’s coach stopped in Bradford, Iowa, he walked around a bit and came upon a wooded valley, and he imagined there being a church in that scenic spot. There wasn’t one then, but, when he returned there five years later, a church was being built in that very location. That church came to be known as the “little brown church,” and it is still open for visitors today.      

In the video, we see Brothers Of The Heart perform the old song at Grand Ole Opry. The four members of the group sit in the corners of a square-shaped, raised stage. Ben Isaacs plays the bass and has a full beard. Jimmy Fortune and Mike Rogers play guitars and sing; Jimmy has gray hair, and Mike wears a blue shirt underneath his brown vest. The lead vocalist is Bradley Walker. The four of them have been called the “country, bluegrass, gospel dream team” by Cowboys & Indians Magazine.    

The group members are not brothers, but they are filled with love for one another. They are also all accomplished artists, each having successful careers before forming the group. Bradley Walker appreciates how fortunate they are to work so well together, saying, “There’s anointing on the four of us.” 

“You can put four people together, four great soloists and sometimes it doesn’t work. Yet this does. It’s the songs and our harmonies. This music takes people back to a certain time and I think people are longing for that now.”  

“And there was great joy throughout the church that day as they read this encouraging message.” Acts 15:31
