Beautiful Bluegrass Covers of 'At Calvary' and 'At The Cross'

An incredibly talented singer, Sherry Anne, turned in a beautiful and delightful bluegrass performance, singing a medley of two of the most beloved hymns, “At Calvary” and “At the Cross.”

Human beings are a sinful and lost group, which the Bible confirms. The Bible says that all have sinned and fallen short of God's glory. In Romans, the Bible also states that “there is none righteous, no, not even one.” So, knowing that we are sinners who have willingly turned our backs on God, we honestly deserve death, as the Bible says are the wages of sin.

However, because of God’s immense, never-ending and inexplicable love for us, He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to Earth on our behalf. Christ, who willingly went to the cross at Calvary, suffered and died for us. His bloodshed for us at the cross and His resurrection forever and always changed everything for us. We now have a future and hope because of what He did at Calvary and on the cross.

Without what Christ did at Calvary and on the cross, we’d all be without hope and destined to be lost for eternity. So, it would only make sense to pair the tunes “At Calvary” and “At the Cross” together, as Sherry did in a clip posted on YouTube.

This joyous and outstanding musical performance tells of Christ’s unbelievable and awe-inspiring love, mercy and grace. It’s one that you’ll want to return to repeatedly.

Sherry provides a fantastic vocal performance, but the beautiful and powerful lyrics about Christ’s life-changing act of love steal the show. And honestly, how could it not? Christ did for us what we could not do for ourselves. He paid a debt that we will never be able to repay. He offers forgiveness and eternal salvation, gifts that we most certainly do not deserve.

Romans 5:8 “But God has made clear his love to us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Aretha Franklin’s Powerful and Moving 'What A Friend We Have In Jesus' Performance

The incredibly talented Aretha Franklin gave a powerful and moving performance of the beloved hymn “What a Friend We Have in Jesus.”

There are some singers and musicians whose talent is so massive, so evident and apparent that their sound will never be able to be replicated or duplicated. The late Aretha Franklin was one of those select few. Her voice was incredibly powerful and unmistakably hers. The second she started singing, you immediately knew who was belting out the lyrics.

Sure, some people may cover her tunes, putting their spin on an Aretha song here and there. Some of them might even be pretty good, but no one will ever be able to outdo Aretha. The woman could flat-out sing, able to reach, hit and hold notes that most vocalists can only dream of singing.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Aretha uses her stunning voice to praise and honor the Lord in a 1972 performance. While performing with a handful of musicians, she sings “What a Friend We Have in Jesus.”

“What a friend we have in Jesus

All our sins and griefs to bear

What a privilege to carry

Everything to God in prayer”

The performance is a fantastic, spirited rendition of the classic hymn we all know and love. Aretha, while standing behind the pulpit, belts out the familiar lyrics. It’s stunning how clean and clear she sounds, especially given that this performance is over 50 years old.

At several points throughout the clip, Aretha displays that unique, powerful voice. She reaches back multiple times and hits notes, showing she was blessed with talent and a voice from the heavens.

Churches regularly put together talented praise and worship teams capable of singing nearly every song of praise. But can you imagine going to church one Sunday morning and seeing someone of Aretha’s caliber and talent level join the worship team?

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

Andrea Bocelli and Lauren Daigle Stunning 'Canto Della Terra' Duet in Official Video

Don’t miss this stunning official video by Andrea Bocelli and Lauren Daigle as they perform ‘Canto Della Terra’ duet. There are some powerful voices of our time; Andrea and Lauren are among those we adore. This

two powerhouse voices came together in a beautiful fusion to sing ‘Song of the Earth,’ which Canto Della Terra translates to in English.

Andrea Bocelli is an Italian singer who used to perform at piano bars in his early musical career, but he rose to fame in 1994 thanks to his incredible performance at the 44th Sanremo Music Festival. From that moment on, Andrea recorded 15 pop and classical music albums, which sold over 80 million! He is best known for dueting with Celine Dion's ‘The Prayer.’ What most people don’t know is that Andrea was born with vision loss and ultimately lost his sight by the age of 12. But what he lacked in vision, he more than made up in music.

As for Lauren Daigle, she is an incredible Gospel pop singer whose passionate and heartfelt lyrics are personal stories of what she has overcome in her personal and spiritual life. She became a household name when her first album ‘How Can It Be’ lit up the Billboard Charts of Top Christian Albums.  She said, “Music is that thing where you don’t even have to speak the same language, but you can enter a song into the atmosphere of the room or whatever, and everything can change,” she added. “You can know someone in a second…It’s just the way that something as a sound has interacted with their spirit or their soul the same way that it’s interacted with yours, and all of a sudden, there’s this cosmic thing. I love – I live and breathe and die for that experience.”

We couldn’t agree more with both Andrea and Lauren about their perspective of music. When they came together to sing this song, it was a moment of letting the music speak for itself to reach the heart of listeners. As they reach the chorus line, you can help but sigh in a moment of contentment.

‘My love,  Amore mio

I hear you breathing. I hear the ocean

It feels so real you here beside me

The waves are rising. I’ll keep you safe’

What an incredible song; together, Andrea and Lauren presented a beautiful collaboration across their musical genres, creating an unforgettable performance.

Psalm 104:24-25 "How many are your works, Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures. There is the sea, vast and spacious, teeming with creatures beyond number—living things both large and small."

Lyric Video For Matthew West's Moving 'To Be With Jesus'

Do you need encouragement in your faith today? Check out this lyric video for Matthew West’s moving ‘To Be with Jesus.’

The music begins with an intriguing melody. It begins heavy, yet peaceful. Matthew starts to sing about when he passes away and goes to be with Jesus. He shares about how all of the current struggles and pains will be gone and over. The lyrics bless your heart as you ponder your own unknown life timeline that is in God’s hands.

Whether you have someone in your life who has gone to be with Jesus, is going to be with Jesus or you are pondering your own mortality, this song will bring you great comfort and peace. Reading the lyrics along with hearing the song will strengthen your faith and confidence in what the Bible has said and promised for those who have accepted Jesus as their personal Savior for their sins.

Matthew paints a picture of the beauty, healing, and everything perfect we as Christians have to look forward to in heaven. It causes a deep longing in our hearts for what is better and what lies ahead.

The final verse sings out:

‘No this world ain't where I'm staying

There's somewhere else I'm meant to go

And when I go to be with Jesus

I'll know I'm finally home’

Death is the difficult punishment for our sins, but eternal life in Christ is the hope that we have when we are His. Jesus has rescued us, where the enemy wants us to be afraid, we can take great hope and confidence that His words are true and we will be with Him in paradise of heaven one day forever. This sinful world will no longer be weighing us down. We will be free indeed.

“My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”  John 14:2-3

James Kilbane Captivates with His Stunning 'O Holy Night' Cover

The incredibly talented James Kilbane, an Irish country and gospel singer, captivates with his stunning cover of the beloved Christmas tune “O Holy Night.”

Christmas is a beautiful time. Most would agree that it is the best period of the entire year. Friends and family members get together and typically enjoy a delicious, delectable meal and even exchange a few gifts while celebrating Jesus Christ's birth. What could be better than that?

In addition to the many parties, dinners and gifts, the Christmas season has plenty of songs themed around the time of year. Hundreds, likely thousands, of versions of the most beloved Christmas tunes exist. Of course, you can likely name a handful of Christmas songs right off the top of your head. “Away in a Manger," "Joy to the World" and "Silent Night" are just a few of them.

Another Christmastime favorite, rightfully heard year after year, is “O Holy Night.” In the above clip, James covers the beloved hymn, which celebrates and retells the events on the night that Jesus Christ, the Lord and Savior, entered the world. Most are incredibly familiar with that specific hymn, but that familiarity does not lessen the lyrics' meaning and impact.

“O Holy Night! The stars are brightly shining

It is the night of our dear Savior’s birth

Long lay the world in sin and error pining

“Til He appeared, and the soul felt its worth”

James’s vocal performance is dazzling and awe-inspiring as he displays his immense God-given musical talents with the Christmas cover. At different points throughout the clip, if one were not watching the video and simply listening to it, one might believe they were listening to Elvis Presley’s version of “O Holy Night.” There are some definite similarities between Presley’s and James’s voice.

Isaiah 9:6 “For to unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

Young Girls Shine in Sweet 'Me and God' Duet Performance

The Detty Sisters are back with a new song. The young girls shine in sweet ‘Me and God’ duet performance that is sure to put a smile on your face. What isn’t there to love about this beautiful music video? The girls are off on a fishing trip at a pond with no care in the world. Dressed in coveralls and boots, they’re ready for a day of fun with their fishing pools.

They remind us of the simpler things in life that make living worthwhile, like fishing with your best friend as they sing lively toe-tapping lyrics of Me and God.

‘There ain't nothin' that can't be done by me and God

Ain't nobody come in between me and God

One day we'll live together where the angels trod

Me and God’

They remind us of the gift we have in Jesus and nothing matters more than our moments with Him. He’s not just our savior, he’s our friend, our comforter, and our heavenly father. With their beautiful voices and proud faith in Jesus, they’re a shining light to those who follow them. Romans 8:31 "What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?"

Massive Choir's Powerful 'There's Nothing That Our God Can't Do' Rendition

A massive choir's powerful rendition of ‘There’s Nothing Our God Can’t Do’ will give you chills. As the pastor welcomes worshippers into the sanctuary, he reminds them of a passage in Psalms that is so fitting for the moment: Psalm 145:4 which reminds us, “One generation commends the works of the world to another.”

He added, “That’s what we're going to experience this morning as we’re led in worship by every generation. Let’s sing together.”

The music kicks off with a massive orchestra supporting one child who begins to this incredible moment of worship as he sings:

‘There’s nothing that our God can’t do

There’s not a mountain that He can’t move

Oh praise the name that makes a way

There’s nothing that our God can’t do’

Suddenly, the voices of more young children and teenagers join in the chorus, and the sound is stunning. Can you imagine listening to the youngest generation worshipping God in full confidence that there is truly nothing God can’t do? What a blessing to hear. The choir of the older generation joins in, and the voices of the children, teens, and adults rise together in harmony, lifting up their voices in hope and faith in our mighty Jesus.

Their declaration that there is nothing God can’t do reminds us that God has no limits. He can move mountains, heal the broken, and change lives. The energy in the room swells as the choir, and the audience lift their voices together with the unshakeable belief that God is at work in life, in every heart, and in every generation. There were hundreds of voices singing and praising God as one. What an incredible moment to experience. We hope this song lifted your heart today and reminded you that no matter what you’re facing, there is nothing our God can’t do.
